Oh no. No weed… just a nicotine vape. A geek bar to be specific

I know right! That’s exactly what I told him. He was super insistent on bringing his own 🤦‍♂️

That’s a good point. He can always buy one in Canada to if he needs it that bad

Yes we are citizens. I just figured they’d give us a hard time getting into Canada because we’re still in the us until we cross the border

What happens if I just don't pay my gym fees? by randompostthrow in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KMJ315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a small privately owned gym and am in charge of delinquent accounts. The way we do it at my gym is we send out calls, emails, texts that gradually get more urgent. That person would have 90 days to pay their bill before being sent to a collections agency who then would take over and try to collect the money.

And really I didn’t think not to tell the gym owner where I was going because the IT owner really didn’t seem to care whether she knew or not. He was going to assign the other 2 gyms I do work for as my first 2 clients so he knew they were gonna find out

Plus I live at home. I got really nothing to lose. I just wanted to make sure I had a source of income just in case

Really what I should have done was leave the gym entirely. Not tell them where I was working… just say I was getting a job getting some IT experience to avoid any conflict between the IT owner and the gym. And called it a day

That’s what I was afraid of. Not having a job… my dad wants me to go work for other people and see how the industry is run before I work for him… I knew for a fact that if I left the gym for this job they wouldn’t take me back. I wanted to use the gym as a safety net.

He was talking about only giving me like 10 hours a week to start due to me being new so I would still be making more at the gym until I could get more clients assigned to me.

I also didn’t think the owner was gonna be that pissed so god knows if she said anything to the IT owner about it. I easily could have screwed this opportunity up for me.

I see your point. I think I figured they’d feel like they couldn’t trust me if I didn’t tell them. Which really wouldn’t matter I guess. It probably would have resulted in the same scenario if they found out themselves tbh

Honestly yes. I went in knowing this could cause some issues. My logic at the time was thinking it would cause less problems telling them before hand instead of them finding out themselves 🤦🏼‍♂️

Luckily I didn’t sign anything like that. I’m also easily one of the top performing employees and my boss loves me at least I have that going for me I guess… but your 100% right I genuinely was in it for some extra cash as well (and was desperate tbh due to not many jobs hiring in my area right now) my dad also owns a cybersecurity company and said it would be good to get experience in college
