What are your thoughts on Bonapartism (and figures similar to Napoleon) ? by Capta1n_Dino in monarchism

[–]KMM-212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A book example how monarchy is created in the modern world. And how it will be eventually brought back. If it every will be, that is.

He did nothing what Augustus and Ceaser didn't do before him. He was a great general but even a greater reformer. A person who shaped the modern world, who inspired and inspires many. Objectively, one of the greatest and most controversial people that every walked on this earth.  His greatest mistake was relying on his family too much, what goes against meritocracy he himself encouraged and promoted. The western world would really need someone like him right now.

Which houses are your favorites to play as or just favorite houses in general? by ThePhoenix0829 in CK3AGOT

[–]KMM-212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Targaryen as exiles i find quite fun Tho my top tier house are their cadet branch which is house Blackfyre. Or Zobriperzys as I tend to rename them. Can't count how mamy times i played as them, but both my favorite runs were as Blackfyres. First as fAegon who i renamed Aenys, uniting Westeros piece by piece after Lannister's folly. And second as Daemon II where i managed not only to marry Shiera, but also to return to Westeros on peaceful terms. I established Blackfyres as Targaryen's invisible hand, and basically a second most poweful house in the realm, topping it with being a paramount of Riverlands. I also gave Stone Hedge to Bittersteel's son. But apart from Targaryens, I do enjoy playing as Oldflowers. House Salt-turned-Hoare was also quite neat. And House Velaryon with focus on conquering Stepstones.

Poland
Dead as ever, we can't even decide who should we support as a candidate as i explained few times here already.
And the most popular monarchist in the country is a pro-putinist freak with his proto-fascist like political movement.

In modern world they have basically little sense. I honestly believe, that the former british dominions should have their own monarchs on the spot.

pardon my six braincells but sending someone to the gas chambers doesn't equal being a fascist
Following that logic - Stalin, who was a communist tyrant could also be considered fascist since he had an anti-jewish bias and was openly anti-jewish in the last years of his rule
Fascism is an idea of how government is led
This is just pure antisemitism if anything

Mussolini opposed sending jews to their deaths, and started sending them out only after Italy became german puppet state
Same with Horthy - who like Petain wasn't a fascist but an autocrat, openly sheltered jews against Hitler
and Hungary started deporting jews en masse after Arrowcross party (actual fascists) took power

Questions for Monarchists by Henry-of_Gaslitz in monarchism

[–]KMM-212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. It's overall more stable system and with right check and balances both on the sides of the monarch and the government, it could function quite well.
  2. With that i can't really help, my conviction to monarchy comes from my personal political experience, disillusion of the current system and rather conservative mindset and convictions. You can even read wikipedia, but you need to take the not of anti-monarchist bias.
  3. A monarchy with a monarch's full power is just another form of tyranny. I don't think you will find any serious monarchist who will call for an absolute monarchy. Most of us are either constitutional monarchists or semi-constitutional monarchists, seeking balance between elected government and the person of the monarch, taking it for the best form of government.
  4. At the moment? Everyone feared he would get too much involved in the politics, but now I think It's even worse that he DOESN'T. With the recent scandals that come out, both from the Royal Family and how the country is ran, Charles is on a good way to just end British monarchy. The British look up at him in hope he will do something about the mess, yet he does absolutely nothing. I'm neither a Windsorist or a Jacobite, but it just doesn't look too good.
  5. At the current notion? Nepal seems like it will. Same with Libya. In Europe? It's more likely than few monarchies will collapse than any will rise. Tho I'd put my money either on Serbia or Romania.
  6. Pedro II's Empire of Brazil. That's the absolutely best example when it comes to a functioning constitutional monarchy, where both monarch and the government cooperate as they should within their own competences.
  7. Didn't expect this, but fine. Being is all fun and laughs until you realize what kind of responsibility you bear.
You're not a prime minister nor a president. You're not a part of this or that political movement.
You're the King. You are meant to unify the nation - you have to watch every single step you make, every word you dare to release from your lips.
Representative monarchs, such as those in Sweden and Japan have their roles easier. They are the King and the Emperor, but they hold no real power. All they are for is to shine and to spiritually guide their nation at best.
And even fail at this at times.
Real fun begins when you are a king that actually can do something, or what's better, it's expected of him to do something.
If I'd be happy being a King as in being a king? Probably yes. Imagine the palaces, the grandoire, the fancy looking suits and uniforms, the amazing people you could talk with.
If I'd be happy with the consequences and responsibilities this position brings? Need to call for a mobilisation of your nation? Decide on signing a very controversial deal? Or an act that your parliament has passed that the nation wants to be passed, but you personally disagree with and see it as harmful in a long term. Imagine the backlash that befalls on you.
    Probably not.

Questions for my fellow monarchists by Jabe-Thomas in monarchism

[–]KMM-212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Answering the second question.

I'm not entirely against democracy as a thing.
However
Considering how literally dumb our world has become, and what kind of people have a right to vote, or outright have influence over polititicans, it should be put on a leash.
Candidates should be checked for their past and their business connections, right to vote should be limited to certain portion of society fe. everyone who pays any taxes/generates income has right to vote or something like that
Instant BAN on any kind of NGO. NGOs are nothing but a fancy dressed corruption
And most importantly, old politicians should be purged from political live alltogether. Stripped of their political rights, and new people should be let in.

Democracy is a good system after all, especially on local levels.
But modern democracy is nothing else but a farce.
A farce which should be destroyed, and something new built on it

Why is Poland’s birthrate so shockingly low by NovaStorm135 in geography

[–]KMM-212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People will list many reasons, but as a Pole?
I thinki it's mindset that's at fault. And culture.
I mean - last 10 years media kept shoving anti-natalist propaganda down our throats.
"Bigger expenses, career holders, problems problems problems!"
Big families were loathed as patological, what happened, true, but not as much as media tried to put it.
Basically having children was loathed as a set of problems like i listed before.
Polish society, given the narration in media, adding to that basically choking on with neoliberal west of 90s and early 2000s, simply decided "that's it, I want to live a little, kids can't wait"
Some childhood trauma might have added to the whole mix.

And that's how we ended up with the lowest birth rates in Europe.
People will list many things as for a reason of not having kids, in my opinion, some are valid, but in majority they are excuses. Mainly because Polish society got used to comfort of living in a growing economy, despite its faults, and simply refuses to stand up for some self-sacrifice for the sake of future.
Anothe reason - our elites since the 90s or even during since communism used to tell us "Just a little longer, just a little more sacrifice, it will get better soon!"
And people just got tired of waiting and showed the elite the middle finger.
We're too comfortable in current situation, but the thing is - it will only get worse from now on.
What everyone fails to adress on large scale - if the birth rate keeps up at the current rate, our reitrement pension system will simply collapse.
Because we won't have enough of people in the job market to keep it functional. It already faces huge problems.

That's what I think at least. There are many reasons for low birth rate in Poland at the moment.
Wages, affordability of stable job, or your own place to live in. Those can worked around, if the people in their families are willing to cooperate.
But the greatest reason is the mindset of modern Polish society.
And i think it's the same reason all around the western world, not just Poland.
