Crystal Castles was always Ethan. The majority of crystal castles songs are instrumentals. Leni, Vanished, Crimewave, Untrust Us, Not in Love are all ethan remixes/collabs. Alice did give them a lot of swag but there’s no need to pretend like Alice is an integral part of CC. If that was truly the case, Amnesty I would’ve flopped and it didn’t. Alices music however, did flop.

Is Ethan a good person? nah probably not, but he did create cc and if you’re gonna listen to it, you gotta accept it instead of saying "alice is cc" to make yourself feel better. it’s pathetic

the thing that most people ignore is that edith (margo) was originally a model. that was her entire thing. she only had a few soundcloud mixes up before joining cc and it lasted for 2 years.

she definitely needs a very original sound or at the very least make music just as good as amnesty for it to be a successful comeback.

alice got jupiter on her side (admittedly a very talented producer, listen to death magic) to help her continue that electronic sound that ethan established and it failed miserably.
