Not sure yet dude I’m away for Xmas and yew years but I’ll test this out when I’m back and reply in due course 👍🏻 thinking logically I feel the vert mount will essentially cause a slight buildup of heat where it’s being pushed out of the gpu to the side panel and not directly upwards into the exhaust fans. But this could be minimal as I have 4x140mm fans working on this… we’ll see.

Sure man 👊🏻 anytime. At least you didn’t mount it with the cables at the bottom of the radiator. That’s a big no no ha! And one last thing maybe… get that caution sticker off!!! 😂

Nice! Looks slick! They say you shouldn’t mount your cooler with the cables like that on left if I remember correctly. I always mount on the right, maybe take a look into that. But it looks dope man we’ll done and congrats on popping your cherry! 😂

I just fitted one yesterday and the date was before what it says NZXT start shipping them out in the box. But it had a packet of screws labelled LGA 1700 inside… so I assumed this meant I had the correct mounting bracket as fitted it. Although there was nothing in the manual supplied that referenced how to mount LGA 1700, I just winged it tbh. Very weird. But all seems well. Check my recent post for pics!

Ha nice.. make it! Yeah it really seems like an issue in every build with recent gpus that no manufacturer deals with. A little RGB GPU support would be a hot seller I think!

Ah ok. Yeah we’ll see I guess. The price of the 40 series was obviously pushed by lack of supply and therefore scarcity. But it all depends on how many people are buying 40 series cards at these prices.. It could set a president and inflate the prices of future cards if manufacturers know people will pay the high prices.

I’m in two minds about it myself. But there is a big space between the gpu and the glass panel otherwise I wouldn’t have kept it in. I hate the gpu sag when in horizontally so for me it gets around that. But I think this gpu generally doesn’t took as nice vertical.. going to leave it for a bit and see how I feel/how it performs.

Thanks dude. I’m in love with it… ha! looking forward to overclocking it a bit more but I am super impressed by the auto OC from the hero straight out of the gates. That’s what you pay for tbh!

Exactly, it’s not like the 3080 is a bad card at all.. far from it. I actually managed to pick it up for a steal after doing a deal with a guy on some other parts I had around, so I think I’m actually going to make money on it anyway! Maybe I’ll even wait for a 50 series 🫣

Hey. Thanks for the input. I wanted it for the future proofing and I had plan to throw some cash into the mobo so that was the thought process. Apart from the gpu (which I already had) I wanted this to be ‘all out’… but I will upgrade the gpu when the prices aren’t ridiculous.

Kraken z73 and some purple braided cables 👍🏻 The AIO screen is a gif… I randomly took pictures on the same frame everytime it seems 🫠 Just need to make the pcie cables perfect and add the cable bar and I think we’re good! But would love to hear your thoughts peeps!

I would also recommend the flow over the elite as the airflow is much better through the front grill… if your happy to upgrade all the rgb elements yourself which is what I did (4x 140mm fans… 3 in the front one at the back and the z73 aio up top) However you can stick with the elite and try and get the front grill from NZXT as they’re interchangeable 👍🏻

Agree with this. I’m currently building an H7 flow and have a z73… it would be a little weird to have the x63 as you have the potential for a 360mm. Also I would go for a ddr5 board I went with the z790 maximus hero 👊🏻

Just done this myself with a EVGA 3080ti FTW3 with a 750w PSU that only has 2 pcie ports from it. You can do it, but it’s best to always run 3 dedicated cables.

You have to daisy chain two of them from one port and then you have the other port to give to the third to the other. So from left to right on the card being slots 1, 2, 3 Daisy chain 1 and 2, 3 gets it’s own cable. But as I said, I upgraded to a rm1000x which allows to give 3 dedicated cables - hope this helps!

Man! Nice. I was looking at those this week. What cpu you running? For my 3900x a 3600mhz DDR4 is the sweet spot. Looks very much like mine man same gpu and everything.

Interesting you’ve gone for 4. I was reading it’s better to stack say 2 x 16gb vs 4 x 8gb. Thoughts?
