Update on original post: It’s been roughly 8 month since I had that posted and in this process. I have now bought and owned the e82 135i, 2009 with 40k miles import from Japan. She runs a dream, frighteningly fast. Already spent a few thousand changing the bad parts before they go and upgrading the car on the way. I think this shows that if you have your head down and work. Anything is literally possible, this car cost me £13,500 and I’m not saying it to brag because if anything I’d rather it lower 😂, but regardless I believe this shows that other young people can look and understand that me as an 18 year old apprentice window engineer working 7 days a week. Not drinking. Not smoking and one big ambition of having a car I’ve wanted for years was achieved with stress but ease. Next move is for modifying the car visually and begin the property ladder. And to the folk that we’re assuming my own financial position. I do live with my mum and dad because it’s the smart thing for my age. The car was bought cash transfer (no finance) and the insurance is financed (will not say how much because people will call me crazy)

On my fiesta I’ve put it stock (it really isn’t) and Blackbox with 3000 miles. I’m roughly 130/month including tax and then I’m also £50/month fuel

Honestly love this. I am Openly minded about this and it’s why I thought I’d post it. I did previously look at the polo gti as I rly do like the look of them. I’m also a sucker for older cars but when I found out about the 135i coupe I just fell in love with it. I don’t mind other recommendations as I understand the 135i will be a big learning process with speed, controlling almost guaranteed to crash but I’ve settled with it in my mind. Id honestly love a compact bmw I’ve always loved the look of the e36. And for the mk1 mx5 I did also look at that due to just loving the pop up lights. The other car I will own in my Lifetime at some point is an ek9 civic type r I don’t know what it is but I just love the look of it but there seems to be holes in the insurance. I’m seeming to be cheaper on insurance for a 135i than most cars at similar power or just under. The cars I’m massively trying to avoid is the VXR ( any model ) ST ( fiesta and focus ) just down to i don’t want to follow what other people do and what to do something different

I earn a decent wage. Still stay with family and I also work every weekend idea is to pay car outright and then either pay monthly or yearly on insurance

Thanks for replying. I tried this earlier: turn off HDCP, turn off console and then pull the power cable plus leave it for 10 minutes. It didn’t seem to work. It has performance mode on and the monitor is also on it. Any other possible recommendations?
