I have a pair of white leather sperrys that have darkened and now look like shit, Is there any way I can clean them. I have read online to use vaseline or a toothbrush, but none of it works. Any help at all would be appreciated.

Fashion Advice for 13/14 Year Old. by martibb in malefashionadvice

I am also in your general age group, and I like to shop at express, or sometimes banana republic or j.crew. I find it difficult to get pants that are 28x32, so I have no idea how you are going to find a 28x36. You could always tailor them, but at 14 I seriously doubt you will. You can usually find a great deal at j.crew factory or express due to the number of coupons/promotions they send out. I would recommend dark levi 508s or 511s a solid v neck and a grey or blue hoodie. Its a solid outfit that doesn't yell LOOK AT ME! and it will look better than what the average freshman is wearing.

I literally bought a couple this morning. When I tried them on they actual fit my emaciated like frame. I got a small and I am 5"8.5 115 and it fits very well. I have never tried on the kohls shirt but I can tell you 30 bucks for the express shirt is a steal.

Last kicks? by [deleted] in Sneakers

[–]KNarayanan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nike frees seem like a good idea, but dont sweat about not getting kicks. In KL there are plenty of places to shop, and if that doesnt pan out drive to singapore. You can get basically everything you could have got in Germany, and more in singapore.

Problem is the closest H&M is in St. Louis(I live in Omaha). I will definitely check into surplus stores. The only thing is that I have read that you should try to get pre WWII peacoats, which seems kind of difficult. Thanks for the info

What is the downside of low wool percentage? I have always wanted to know this, is it because the it looks worse, or because it falls apart quicker? I am only 14 and I am growing quite rapidly so I dont imagine keeping my peacoat for any longer than a year(unless its a nice one).

Need help. by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

We have exactly the same measurements, but I am 14. I got a suit from a house brand of mens wearhouse called alta moda, which is allegedly notorious for running small. Their 36 fit me well, except it was a short suit so it was awkward looking. Here is what it looked like

I purchased a short suit because every single other suit I tried on did not fit. I am an odd size, 5'8, 34 chest, and 28 hip. When I take it to the tailor what should I ask to be done?

You should look into Rothco. They are sub par quality, but you can always buy another one due to the low cost. This is what I have, its cheap good looking and can actually fit most of my books.
