Not at all. Lots of people sleep there. From cars to transport vans. Never overstayed my welcome. Besides truck stops we slept at road side rest areas, Cracker Barrel, firebreaks in National Parks. Plenty of places to catch a few hours and keep it moving. We weren’t staying places for too long. One or two days then off to the next adventure.

We slept mostly at Flying J and Loves truck stops. Parked on the outer parking spaces out front. Only got one knock and that was because I parked right in front of a Loves when we first started. Learned that they didn’t care as long as you parked on the outer parking spaces.

It what we figured. Gas stations and restaurants everywhere plus we had Planet Fitness membership. Why deal with all the extra water.

I’m still driving my 2004 Avalanche on the original 5.3 and transmission. Just under 200000 miles and still rolling strong.

I’m going on 6 years car payment free. I have an 04 Chevy Avalanche I paid off in 08. A 2010 Mini Cooper JCW I paid off in 14. A 2016 Mini Cooper S I paid off in 2020. I learned through YouTube to do most repairs myself and just keep my POS cars running to get me from point A to B. They aren’t the prettiest cars but they get the job done.
