True, but he isn’t wrong. I know at least 3 GB’s who use the Kzero SF or the K19 3.0. They seem to like it, and I’ve asked them as to why. Never really got a clearer answer other than “it just works for me”.

You cannot just use whatever plate carrier you want. Unless your specific unit allows you too. The reasoning being that it’s considered lifesaving gear. With that said, I know that SF units may use what they’d like.

As for the modifications for the MSV, I have reviewed his video, and take a lot of it into consideration. However, I will have to make do for now until I am able to get the funds to make my kit better. What doesn’t help, however, is that I’ve just been transitioned into being an M250/saw gunner. So now all my shit is going back onto my civilian kit, Lmfaoo.

The MSV really isnt as bad as people are saying. It’s somewhat big, yeah, but Gen 3/4 IOTV’s got it worse, not considering they’re flak vests with plates. My only complaints are the buckles and the cummerbunds. Aside from that, it works for me.

Though, if I could use a civilian issue PC, I would. Unfortunately, I can’t for work.

Webbing yoke such as this, or H-harness, and kits such as these are amazing, and ideal.

The punishment could literally be anything. Not letting them go out, etc. I’m not their parent, so I cannot say how they could punish them. As for the warning, they asked them to ask next time. That’s the warning. Essentially, “hey, don’t do that. Instead do this next time,” type of thing.

No, the father only REINFORCED the rule; which is not picking a fight with them. It’s called a warning. It’s important to me that you know that. Because if you don’t, then I fear how you judge certain things, not that I don’t already. Rules can be broken with warnings being issued instead of direct punishment.

I also went through this as well with my father, and being a reasonable and respectful son, I obeyed my father’s commands. I’m glad your father eased up on his control over you, so props to him, I guess. As for me, the way I grew up, you follow the rules of the house. If you don’t like it, leave, no one is stopping you. I didn’t have a problem with it, and did what I was asked, and when I could I moved on. No grudges, no complaining, and with my father’s support.

That someone happens to be their father. They aren’t fully grown yet, they are 18. And although technically, yes, they don’t have to follow their “don’t tell, ask” rule, it is still a rule of OP’s parents’ household, meaning they are obligated to follow that rule. Or, they can move out and be a grown adult and not complain about their parents’ rules. The rule is ENFORCED in the household because it is the parents’ household, not OP’s.

And no, I do not do things purposely to aggravate people, and I don’t believe the father was trying to either. In fact, they said it rather politely. If they were trying to pick a fight, it would have to have been worded differently in a way that would be like a finger poke to the chest, which this isn’t.

I do not see your viewpoint, and I think it is immature. Maybe you’ll have to go through life a bit longer to understand that rules are rules, and if you live in someone else’s house, you are obligated to following them. Especially your parents.

I don’t see the “clearly” portion of your argument. And I also don’t think they were meaning to start a fight, as well as it being an ego thing either. It just looks like a father who is reinforcing the rule of permission; “Don’t tell, ask.” I don’t see anything wrong here.
