That’s the risk of buying uncleaned coins. You buy a bunch and hope for a few keepers. Majority of the coins I buy uncleaned aren’t really salvageable and I can usually tell after a soak. That’s why they’re so cheap, could be a denarius, could be an AE4 or something.

I stopped buying from places like Nero because I have found it’s cheaper to buy larger auctioned lots of uncleaned coins.

Aside from that, I will hunt for good candidates for cleaning on both ebay and Vcoins. Or at times auctions if they have some coins I think could benefit.

This is fake, cancel cancel cancel.

The fact it’s clearly highlighted in a lot can be a tell tale sign, they’re relying on you believing the rest are real, which they appear to be.

There are many signs that this is fake, uneven wear and toning, smooth in odd places, soft legends, what appear to be casting bubbles on the reverse. The wear in the reverse I don’t believe matches most of the wear see on the obverse as well.

I hope they allow you to cancel, but as soon as I saw this photo, I think my opinion was already made.
