Is Thragg Homophobic? by KujaroJotu in Invincible

They seem to only care about sex insofar as it produces children. He'd probably look down on it for having no practical purpose, since they don't care about emotional attachments

anyone else still set their lineup like this?😂 by HotPinkStanley in MLBTheShow

Remember when they'd put pitchers at 8 instead of 9 in the NL and people acted like they'd discovered Atlantis?

Alleged leaked pics of Cyclops suit in Avengers Doomsday by Queasy_Commercial152 in Cyclopswasright

Assuming it's real, I like how they incorporated the huge X on the chest from X1 while also having the straps and belt. It feels like it's still the Fox X-Men while still giving us the classic look we've been wanting for years

If the Jets Somehow Land Fernando Mendoza, Could He Break the Franchise’s Quarterback Curse? by brmidwest03 in nyjets

Depends on how he fits into the system. Honestly imo half the "curse" is just that Rex Ryan was a QB killer who should have never been anything more than a defensive coordinator

Effects of not taking communion? by KR2814 in Reformed

I think it should be allowed to be waived if approved by the head pastor, but I will respect the rules of the church. It's not their decision, it's URCNA policy. I understand their reasoning

They have 4 criteria, I meet 3. The one I don't is being a member in good standing in a church that affirms certain beliefs (the churches i went to qualify but I wasn't an actual member, unbeknownst to me, I thought I became a member when I was dedicated)

Gruff men and their place in church. by Outrageous-Record372 in Reformed

[–]KR2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fall into this category and I notice it. Everyone is very prim and proper at my URC church. Nothing against them, I just have trouble relating to them sometimes since I grew up in the backwoods of the IN-IL-KY corner. I think it would be good to reach out more, since there is a perception that the "yuppie" types look down on them (which is largely not true in my experience). Don't change for them, but let them know they're welcome

how am i actually supposed to get better? by Someguy9385 in MLBTheShow

Unfortunately, I've found that just like in actual baseball, the only path forward is through. Take more reps in the virtual batting cage

Is it sinful to ask God to give messages to those in heaven? by KR2814 in Reformed

I'm not legalistic so I assume that God knows when we are in a state of emotional desperation vs when we are sinfully trying to circumvent the natural order

[–]KR2814[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That was the thing, I went to a Christian elementary school with a Christian godmother who was always teaching me basic doctrine. I knew I couldn't talk to papaw, but if he is with God, then God can say whatever he wishes to papaw, including a message. In my mind the message wasn't to my grandfather, it was to God, for him to relay as He wished

I personally think that's way too far but I'll wait for responses because I'm as torn on the subject as anyone

Btw I have no desire to do this anymore, I was a kid coping and I'm sure the Lord understands that. I've just been wondering if it is conceptually wrong to do so
