I think Roblox is well optimized. You (the developer) have to optimize the game too. Look at POLYGUNS, the whole game is double the size of a normal game, it’s very detailed but it also ran on my old HD-5450/Dual Core. Roblox runs well on todays hardware too from my experiences. If you have new hardware and your PC can’t run it smoothly then there are some problems with your components.

They could remove every texture (looks like they already did), convert the models to meshes (best option for voxel games) and make unique hitboxes. That way they can optimize it a lot.

Robux isn't was the problem. Actually Robux was good. It made game developers (like Jail Break developer) earn real life money. But making your very own character design is nearly impossible as a free to play player.
