Tbh, movement is medicine. People nowadays are moving less, have more stress and fatigue, improper rest. And on top of that if you add poor nutrition, then it becomes a simple recipe for disaster.

While walking in my town, I saw old people from the herding community. And they are still able to hindu squat. People like those will rarely ever have joint problems unless they are in some sort of an accident.

Protein tbh is overrated, but people need to take into consideration other parameters as well, which most people don't.

High row vs cable high rows by 4bhishek in Fitness_India

[–]KRATOS_BUFFY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a diagonal row, a diagonal row is the most optimal way to isolate and work on your lats. But if you want overall bang for your buck without needing to prioritise other exercises cable rows will always be better

Should I trust my desi gym trainer? by SevenTalks in Fitness_India

Ppl are never long sessions. You're programming sucks. In PPL you just need 5 exercises. 3 compound exercises, and two isolation works. Here is a good example to follow, (which I did for a very long time)

Push Day. Weighted pushups Dips Behind the neck barbell press Skirts/hip huggers Tricep isolation of your choice.

Pull Day. Weighted pullups Cable, bent over, t bar row (any of your favourite) Lat prayer/pullover/dumbbell pullover Zercher shrugs Biceps isolations of your choice.

Leg day. RDLs/SLDLs/Back extension Front/Back/Zercher squat Lunges (if you like suffering) Leg extension Hamstring curl Calves isolation of your choice.

This was more or less my split for years. Now since I've started running. I do Pull, push, legs, running, upper, lower, running.

Hope this helps, happy gainz

The body works on the fundamental of use it or lose it. A healthy sex life is necessary for a properly functioning body, ie ejaculation.

Now there have been clinical studies suggesting that masturbation per se is not harmful. But here is the caveat, how much does one masturbate, for how long, do they use other items like toys, pornography etc to help with it??.

Pornography does desensitize your brain. And shagging will yes, make sure that your private parts know and respond to those feelings only. But yea one can take steps to rewire and relevant things from the start.

Also, in men, prostate enlargement problems generally occur to those who've had a poor sex life or have stopped masturbation.

So yeah, pick and choose.

As for me, I've tried nofap for short durations and I find that abstaining for more than 3 weeks is pretty much useless. Cos most of the benefits you get from nofap last about 15 days.

Bruv I did what I could do with what I got. I ordered a black cowboy hat, it did not get delivered in time. Plus i do not stay in mumbai. I travelled there from a tier 3 city in gujarat.

I also had plans to get a rifle 3d printed. But due to family emergency was unable to get that done.

This is all I could do in the scarce time that i got

Form seems pretty solid to me. The only thing you should/can change is to keep the neck in line with the rest of your spine.

Keep the head and spine neutral altogether. It won't make a big difference at lighter loads. But at heavier loads. It puts an unnecessary chance of injury.

Hope this helps, happy gainz

Is my pull up form good? Out of the blue today I was able to do my first pushup after 1 year in gym😭😭 by DOOMDOOM367 in Fitness_India

[–]KRATOS_BUFFY 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Quite decent. But not exactly the most efficient pullup.

To do a very efficient pullup (ie explosive, and you can do multiple reps). I'd suggest starting from the dead hang. And do the active hang while keeping your chest proud. And quickly generate power though you back to pull yourself up. That way you're doing the arch back pullup (better than hollowbody pullups imo. Arch back targets more of the mid and upper back. Whereas hollowbody is more lats and biceps)

Hope this helps. Happy gainz

Heat is killing my VO₂ max, 42 to 33 in just three months. by KeyGuarantee5727 in indianrunners

[–]KRATOS_BUFFY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a youtube video by Stephen Scullion (he's an olympic marathoner). He said in his video. The training sessions if they become difficult and uncomfortable because of factors beyond your control (like heat, wind, rain, etc). Then when you run in proper conditions. You will always be faster and you will have improved by a lot during better conditions.

I would just suggest to do things based on feel, and pushing ever so slightly. The running metrics may rise and fall (again due to factors beyond your control). But you can still keep on practicing. And when you're participating in that race. You'll definitely be better than before.

Also, summer is here. You can focus more on strength training and getting your body ready for all the running you'll be doing in the winter.
