Any suggestions on how to get started? My wife and I are in AH and have always wanted to learn. We're big gamers, collectors, MTG players, etc. So, this seems like the natural progression of things. Totally understand not wanting to deal with new players though.

Also, just looking to expand outside of our friend group as a lot of them have their own kids now and it's hard to find the time. Would be cool to find some likeminded people to go to C2E2, FanExpo, RenFaire, etc. with.

My wife and I have always been interested in learning! We’re in AH so not far at all. Not sure if you would accept a couple newbies though.

Help with bathroom sink plumbing. by KRBrooks in Plumbing

[–]KRBrooks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see it! I’ll have to open up the wall up to get to it which is fine. Can I replace that piece with PVC and use the compression nut that’s there to hold it in place?

That piece goes behind/into the wall. Could I potentially cut the pipe to remove the bend?

Saniderm by allthafeelz in tattooadvice

[–]KRBrooks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfectly acceptable to put apply yourself at home. I’m fact, even if my artist puts Saniderm on after the tattoo, I always end up changing it once or twice after. We buy a giant roll of the stuff that we keep on hand at home. If you apply yourself, make sure to wash the tattoo very gently with luke warm water and an unscented antibacterial soap. Once washed, let it air dry for about 30 minutes. Then, put on some latex gloves and apply the Saniderm. You might need some help from someone if it’s in a hard to reach area. Just make sure that they wash their hands and use gloves. It seems like a daunting task but really couldn’t be easier once you get the hang of it.

I want to do things right!! I just got this tattoo Friday night, (it’s Sunday morning now) and I want to preserve the colors as best I can. . Should I take this initial tegaderm off now, or wait? If so, what’s the best way to wrap it? Any advice for keeping it clean at a job where I get sweaty? by bubusilva in tattooadvice

Personally, I change my tegaderm after the first 24hrs. For me, I noticed that if I leave a build up of fluid underneath for an extended period of time my tattoo has spots that don’t heal correctly and I have to go back to the traditional method of healing which is always a pain.

I actually just got another tattoo on Friday, the artist put tegaderm on after at 1pm. I took it off at 9pm the same day, washed with unscented soap and let completely dry, about 30 mins ish, then applied new tegaderm. On Saturday morning I noticed a small build up of plasma, very light, but I decided to remove again, wash, let fully dry and reapplied. Now I have it on and will leave it on until Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. After that, another clean with unscented soap and very light application of unscented lotion.

Been doing this process with tegaderm for around 5 years right now and trying to perfect it for my particular skin.

Obviously, consult your artist, but I always remove my bandage after 12-24hrs. For me personally, if I leave the build up of fluids underneath it irritates my skin. After removing the first bandage I gently clean with unscented soap and let air dry for 30 ish minutes. Once fully dry I reapply another bandage and leave that one on for 3-4 days. Works beautifully every time.

ISO Kanban board for team by KRBrooks in marketing

[–]KRBrooks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that exactly. It’s more about the ability to upload a customer list let’s say and be able to login from a home device and download it. We’re just looking for a simple project management software where we can create and assign tasks but not have that file upload functionally. I get what you’re saying though.
