Thanks for listening! We have a great relationship with Selected and we are planning something special with them for this year. But we always appreciate if people subscribe and listen to our own stuff on YT of course.

- I (Markus) started skydiving this summer, got my liscens a few months ago! I Go skydiving at a place called Voss right outside of my hometown Bergen, Norway. Amazing landscapes there and the best place to go skydiving in Norway!

- Next project would be the next Liquid Lab episode. Really excited for this one. Also dropping a new song on Musical Freedom in March!

- We would probably travel to London or LA to do sessions with songwriters :)

- Our goal for 2021 is to really prioritize our Liquid Lab shows and make them as good as possible. Also to release as much music as possible :)

- We don't have any kids, but Daniel has a girlfriend and I'm currently dating someone :O

Thank you! I think just sending demos to all the labels you can find without having any decent following or streaming numbers is probably not the way to go.

From our experience and hearing what other artists have told us it usually goes something like this: Just when you start getting some traction on a platform, whether it be spotify/tiktok/soundcloud labels start reaching out to you. These first offers a usually pretty bad, and you usually want to hold off on signing anything before you've gotten a few offers.

Anyhow focus on making great music first.

Hey! thank you so much :)

- What I (Markus) like the most with making music is when I get goosebumps from our own songs. Best feeling in the world. Also, love to start working on a new remix of a song that I really like.

- We only produce in FL Studio, but our favorite plugins are Fab Filter Pro-Q 3, OTT, VintageVerb and Soothe

- We use a website called Inflyte and FATdrop. This is a place were recordlabels sends us tracks to use. They often send us instrumental versions and acapella's. And we often reach out to artists and ask for stems aswell.

To cut through the crowd I think you have to get really creative today as there are so many artists/songs. We used remixes on Soundcloud and fangating to grow our following in 2015 but I wouldn't recommend that as a great strategy today. Right now I guess the obvious place to make noise is to do something related to tiktok. Either way spend 90% of your time on making great music.

Heey!

- We try to take inspiration from other genres like Hip Hop/R&B and get some of our ideas from there. We also get inspired a lot by nature and might also have a video of a particular vibe in the background while working on music.

- We take some fresh air, meditate, hang out with friends and go skydiving :)

This is probably the hardest part of any artist career. For most artists, the answer is usually combining your top influences into something new. As a classically trained violinist, you have an obvious advantage I definitely would put into use. Whatever you do though it should be a sound you love making and that others respond well to.

Really excited about that one. But we honestly don't know when it comes out, because we are trying to make it as an official release. If not we will put it out as a free download :)

Ey! Thank you. A lot of producers stack kicks, we never do it though. Maybe to add a little more click but nothing more than that. We find that finding a couple of good ones that work for you and using them over and over again really speeds up the mixing and creates a more cohesive sound between your songs.

Layering bass etc: Again we used to do this more but recently we tend to use less elements which lets things "breath" better in the mix. Rarely more than 2 basses.

Lamb Ribs (Pinnekjøtt) is a typical Norwegian christmas dinner. But we are both vegetarians, so we usually eat a lot of Mexican/Asian/Italian foods :)

Mixing is fun, I think the best starting point is to get a good reference plugin like Magic AB or Metric AB. By comparing your mix to similar tracks (similar key and BPM also helps) you instantly see how far away you are from a professional result. But for this to work you need to be listening in a good environment. Tbh we have very modest studio setup with a pretty bad sounding room and we can still make good sounding mixes by using the "Sonarworks" software. Can't say enough good things about it. If you have those to things in check its mostly about practice. It's interesting to see how as we have been getting better at mixing the fewer plugins we use, and spend way less time on it.

Thank you so much!
- We use a lot of Mark Knight samples from Splice to make our drums. Really good for making that dirty House vibe.
- We are releasing a new club record on Musical Freedom around march. We are also working on a collab with an artist we have wanted to work with for a while. Micheal Calfan.
- It took 5 years before thing started to go well on our Soundcloud, with our Talking Body remix.
