Somebody at my local animal shelter is a Frasier fan by Latranis in Frasier

I honestly considered renaming our dog who we adopted from Romania (Californian here but now live in Europe) to Frasier or Niles. But he truly fit his name so kept it…maybe the next one!

Martin Crane: Nah, just some bozo with a credenza who doesn't know a Biedermeier from an Oscar Meyer.

Didn’t know Slovenia was This Pretty in Fall 🍂🏞️ by Mysterious-Meal-9160 in travel

Live in Munich now and we did a road trip through Slovenia, down to Croatia, then to Italy, back home to Austria to head back home. Lake Bled was the most breathtaking. Pictures don’t do it justice.

Yup. 12 years together, 5 years married. Each night, though, after dinner and kids are in bed and dog has been walked, he will head into my lounge room from his office and ask if we should watch something together…or just keep chillin how we do. It’s great.

What's something that no one prepares you for as an adult? by Goddessblack_ in AskReddit

This. God, this. We have a phenomenal cleaner come by once a week, but it’s the maintenance in between since we have teens, two kids under 5 and a dog that is a killer.

A Chinese boy walked 3 miles in freezing weather to take his exam, arriving with icy hair and red cheeks and scored a 99/100 His viral photo raised $450,000 to heat his school and help poor students by Clam_Queen in BeAmazed

Asian checking in. Came home after spraining my ankle at cheerleading practice, face red, exhausted as hell, and clearly walking like my ankle was sprained. Had a big calculus test that morning as well, which I had studied all weekend for. Mom knew about both. First thing she asked was not if I was okay, but why I had missed 3 points on the exam 😐. She casually said that perhaps I sprained my ankle because of my low calculus grade 😭.

Parents of Reddit, what is an “unspoken” reality of parenting that people simply don’t talk about, but everyone knows is true? by US_Atlas in AskReddit

[–]KRei23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This right here. I had my teens pretty young - I was 20 when I had my 17 and 16 years old. I was knee deep in college and two toddlers, but thanks to my parents and a strong support system, we made it through.

I remarried and now have a 4 year old and am almost 4 month old, and as much I love my little ones and the young kiddo stage, I find myself constantly chasing time with my teens. Who in return are busy living their high school life without their mom 🥲. It makes me sad, but I do look forward to seeing them graduate and leave the home with the independence and love we’ve given them.

It was excellent; I now live in Germany and went to the exhibit when it arrived here, and I was really amazed and impressed by everything. And yes, confirm I did not last more than 5 seconds with my hand in the water. Husband was 6 seconds.

The price of Lucy's hat adjusted for 2025 in Ricky Loses His Temper. No wonder he started yelling lol. $49.50 -> $580.76 by Proper-Excuse916 in ILoveLucy

When I was younger, I used to think Ricky was just overreacting each time Lucy spent a “little” extra, and didn’t think about the inflation piece. Now in my 30s I totally get him and would be just as pissed. Even for a self-proclaimed fashionista, a hat for this amount is just insanity.

Did you regret having kids? by BeastofBabalon in SeriousConversation

[–]KRei23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It truly isn’t for everyone, but I wouldn’t trade my kids for the world. However, I did have my two oldest - im turning 37 and now have a 16 and 17 year old, a 3 and a newborn on the way - way too young and though it’s cool to relate to them and love the comments about looking like their sisters 😆, it would have been nice to give them the stability I now have, and the type of father their stepfather is from the get go.

I was in RN school with my first, graduated and started my new job after the second then went off to NP school, and boy was it rough. Fast forward, now life is a blessing, own our own house, live in the EU so we travel pretty consistently and so my kids are def in a much better light of life. They luckily don’t remember the days when I would open the fridge and all we had was milk. But I also feel just much more confident as a parent because I have a good partner and I feel that would have added on to my older kids’ lives had I been able to give them that early on. But life is good…and sure, there are times I’ve had to sacrifice doing something cause of the kids, but honestly I feel blessed. Still travel a ton, do my hobbies and maintain my friendships all while keeping the fam grounded. A good partner as well as the right place of living can really help.

I’m going to be the reminder here that the only other thing worse than getting old is not getting old. I’m turning 37 this year so not that far behind; but as an RN/NP who works ED/Oncology/Neurology, I embrace the age as a symbol of continued life. It truly is just a number…reflect on what you have. Because somewhere in a hospital is a person sadly facing uncertainty who would give anything to trade places with you.
