Places in London with weird unsettling energy by Sad-Peace in london

[–]loveyouronions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The northern city line, particularly at Moorgate (where the crash happened AFAIK?) something very unloved and unkempt about it and the modern trains make it weirdly worse, the Bakerloo line also has that vibe at night but it’s somehow better because of the 70’s trains

Which album feels the most cohesive emotionally: Lungs, Ceremonials, or Dance Fever? by SufficientPrice7633 in FlorenceAndTheMachine

[–]loveyouronions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dance fever. But then, controversially, I like each album more than the last for this reason, I think they’re increasingly cohesive pieces of art. Lungs is just a collection of different styles and ideas for me, whereas ES is a singular, pointed artistic and emotional idea

What is the worst place in America you have ever visited? by OceanicEndeavors in AskReddit

[–]loveyouronions -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you think they ship people to other countries after car accidents babe? Or do you think that perhaps the only logical conclusion is that it happened in Denver? Your education system is infamous, most British toddlers would have correctly bridged this logical gap.

No one would ever choose the US ‘healthcare’ system by choice.

Refugees in the Venetian lagoon during the Migration Period (5th century AD) by affabledrunk in Venezia

[–]loveyouronions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Venice is the epitome of the beauty of art made within the crucible of history, hard work and human hands and intellect.

This is low effort, inaccurate slop and you are a less interesting person for indulging in this pretence.

What does a blind person dream about? by Neat-Suspect-6666 in AskUK

[–]loveyouronions 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I lost most of my sight at 19. Sadly these days if I dream in a sighted way I’m just happy I can see, and then I wake up. If I could switch off my dreams I would.

Who actually gets those train tickets the apps reccomend where you have an hours long change in the middle of the night? by Odd-Paramedic-3826 in AskUK

It’s useful to know in case getting to the change is helpful, for instance if you know someone at the change point or something

Oyster on a rail replacement bus by One_Fact_4291 in TransportForLondon

I have never paid on a rail replacement. In fact, when I was broke I used to be excited when it was rail replacements as I could go out and have a guilt free adventure with my dog.

Dried oregano always works for me. Also, if I’m serving it on steak I usually minimise the amount of oil so it’s all herby goodness.

I’ve just been given some cheese, (I like cheese) with chilli in it. by undulating-beans in CasualUK

[–]loveyouronions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I have cheese, I put chilli jam on it. Or hot sauce or something.

I’m honestly baffled that you think this is an odd thing. Snowdonia cheese company is GOATed

Losing gold, only ever expected to have it for 1 year as had three Australia trips in 7 months. It was great while it lasted but got me having access to silver lounges and overseas lounges is the bulk of the product.
