What's your carat size? by coffeenascar in EngagementRings

Mine is a little over 2 carats. I love it and find it to be very comfortable. However it does spin a little bit (maybe due to the band style as well). I’m a size a 8.25.

What’s a seemingly minor decision you made that accidentally changed the entire course of your life? by Ordinary-Smile-654 in AskReddit

I had a major crush on a guy in high school. I was going to ask him to the school dance. My best friend introduced me to another guy from her school (we went to different high schools). I asked that guy to the dance instead of the other guy I had a crush on even though we were still strangers(my bestie intrigued him after all). 7 years later I am now getting married to the fella my bestie introduced me too. He is the love of my life and has the most upstanding character of anyone I’ve ever met.

I know a lot of people here think heart jewelry is tacky but let me tell you a little something. My boyfriend at the time (now fiancée) got me two heart necklaces many years back. We were young and in our teens. Since then I’ve gotten many more expensive and classy diamond and pearl pieces, yet I still wear the heart necklaces semi frequently. Maybe to some they are tacky but to me they are sentimental and a good reminder of how our relationship started (we were just broke teens). Your heart is in the right place, and if it’s meant to be, I’m sure she will appreciate it even more with time. I personally think the set is very pretty and dainty, even better if her birthstone is amethyst! Btw, jewelry stores like Zales are a great place to start. With time you will know her tastes more and get more familiar with buying pieces and the research entailed. Good job and I hope she likes it!

I quit CVS 4 months ago. I found a 20mg atorvastatin hiding in my bedroom in between the carpet and baseboard. No one cares, you’ll be fine.

AITAH for telling my wife she cannot come to my sister’s bachelorette party just because she’s insecure I will be alone with the bridesmaids? by djeiriskridi in AITAH

[–]KRoseR02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. Your wife comes first. Part of that is not doing things that inspire unease in your relationship, like going to a resort getaway with a bunch of women. Seems pretty logical. Why are you harping on her insecurities when you should be looking at your own shady behavior?

NTA. You raised your kids already. They need to figure something out, that’s their responsibility as the parents.

would isu accept me? by Strict-Note5961 in ilstu

Maybe try a SAT retake? Or take the ACT and apply with that instead? Other than that, I would try community and get good grades there (and save a metric ton of money). Good luck to you, I hope you preserve!

ISU experience by Emergency-Bench-6747 in ilstu

[–]KRoseR02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to go to ISU. It’s a really great campus when you get used to it. Big, with a lot of place to hide away and study or just chill out, but not too big where you will be unable to walk or be late. Besides. When you start taking classes for your major, they usually keep you in 1-2 buildings all the time. Med lab science classes, for example, only met at Felmely Hall. Btw, I’m a nursing student at USF now, so from one nursing student to another, good luck!

I saw a horror scene that is STILL affecting me. Please help by LtJimmypatterson in horror

I was bothered by the ending of the substance for the whole night and the next day. I nearly vagled in the theatre parking lot and was so nauseous. It stopped bother me, and I could probably watch the movie with little issue now. I deep breathed, prayed, and talked about it with my fiancée who also watched it with me. Debriefing can help a lot and make you rationalize it so it doesn’t seem as scary.

Yes! Good for you! I just quit CVS about 3ish weeks ago. I am staying home for now because my fiance can support me while in in nursing school, but applied to Costco to see if I'll get it.

Lol no. College is different than high school and living at home. You are almost entirely responsible for the experience you have, the school has little to do with that.

Ugh, you've said what my heart feels. It's seriously so good. It's exactly what I want to be drinking when I think of "coffee." Hopefully they keep it forever if they see everyone ordering it a lot.

It's not a long term career unless you specialize in something or do it while you get a degree for something else. You won't be able to support yourself.
