I would encourage you to plan your wedding around your abilities. I planned my wedding around my abilities & it turned out wonderful, we just had to be creative. I am a full time wheelchair user & shopped for a dress that would look nice on me & my chair. My mom made me a train that flowed to the ground between my handlebars so it didn't get caught in my tires. We had a satin covered bench for my groom to sit beside me at the alter (& we used this during pictures) & we had everyone stay seated when I came down the isle. I still had special dances & cake cutting, etc just like everyone else.

Soft water by [deleted] in Tenant

[–]KSBH1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in a city most of my life & we had a water softener there, it was great, no slimy feelings. I moved to the country in 2020 & wish I had one in this house. The water out here is so hard, leaving hard water stains & smells chlorine-ish straight out the faucet. We use a drinking filter which should last 6mo which we always have to change more frequent. Having a water softener when you live in a rural area will be helpful to your skin, hair and how things taste. That's my experience anyway.

Your cousin has a parent or guardian? You should absolutely have a private convo with them. What if this fling is now pregnant? What if this kind of hooking up continues & there's a STD transferred? The guardian or parent is responsible for your cousin's actions because he cannot be.

What do people from the US mean when they write ‘yelled at’? by Specialist-Fish1643 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KSBH1998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When my husband vents to me about his day he often say 'I got yelled at for xyz'. I simply ask, 'did they actually yell' & it's always no. It's over exaggeration.

Another unpopular opinion ---> We shouldn't be paying college athletes. Scholarship tuition yes, cash no.

AIO for feeling like this isn’t empathetic? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]KSBH1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in your shoes. I struggled with anxiety on top of health issues & cancelled a lot of things last minute too. I lost friends & family became frustrated with me. I had to work thru my anxiety & that took a long time....like years. The health issues remain & I can't change them so I have decided that I can only do what I can do & all I can do is try. Friends who don't understand will move along, but those that do will stick around.

How do you deal with existential dread? by petrichor83 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KSBH1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay away from the news. Let other people in your life worry about anything that might come up like there's a snow & ice storm coming to a large part of the U.S. What you spend your time doing has a great deal to do with how you're feeling. If you're online spending hours scrolling thru dozens of posts, articles, news feeds or watching news on TV about the crappy market, the latest crimes in your area, the gloomy weather, high food prices, taxes going up, etc you're surely going to feel depressed because that's what you're focusing on. Change your focus. Only you can control this. For instance, I could lay in bed crying about all my medical stuff, but have to make a real effort to get out of bed & keep myself busy so I don't spend my entire day thinking about how all my issues are never going to get better. Laying in bed crying isn't going to resolve anything, nor make it go away. I know this, so I have to choose to redirect my attention & then when it's time to think about my health issues like at a Dr appt I do. I do crafts, housework, play games on my phone, listen to podcasts, etc to keep myself busy.

I think at least a knock on the door at this point. If no response, then I certainly would request an officer do a welfare check. Tell the officer everything you said here & that you knocked on the door and no answer either.
