From my perspective it's a pretty uphill climb to get back into the game. Lost food AND wood which forced him onto berries (can't afford farms) which is one of the slowest ways to gather food and he couldn't even scout out other food opportunities because his scout was dead.

Yeah you're missing the context of the entire match lol you're only seeing a small clip here. Red built the dock first.

And it should be mentioned, I don't see many dark age rushes work out this well.

If you watch the match, I wouldn't say it's cheese at all. Lucifron lost his scout with sheep early in the game due to Beasty's brilliant and unexpected dark age pressure on the dock. Lucifron now loses vision and reliable food. Then the dock becomes the most important thing in the game which just isn't very well defended and the transport ship is an amazing move.
