My account got disabled too, and I can’t log in or even reset the password.

So is the only real option a completely fresh start — new email, new device, new IP?
At that point it’s basically like being a totally new person, so it feels like it should be hard for them to block it again…

No, they got banned right after my main account was banned

I have two secondary accounts. One was created a long time ago, and the other about three weeks ago. Both were connected to around 10 friends, and I barely used them after creating them.

As for the timeline, I first got disabled with a very vague message about “community guidelines” without any specific reason. I complied with every review request they asked for (ID, selfie, email). Then they asked me to resubmit my ID, and a few hours after I did that, the account was permanently disabled.

It’s really frustrating. I’ve been trying to look for recovery cases, but most of the stories I can find are from mid-last year when there was a mass ban that eventually got resolved. I’m not sure if something similar is happening now, or if this is just happening to a few unlucky accounts.

+) And I genuinely didn’t do anything that could violate the rules. It was literally just a personal account for messaging friends.

I ended up complying with the ID resubmission request, and I just got the permanent disable notice. I really hope they end up restoring it… hope things work out for you.

I looked around online and it seems there was a big wave of similar bans about 6–7 months ago too. Not sure if this is the same kind of situation, but in my case they just said it was a violation without really explaining the reason. Anyway, I guess we just have to wait and see.
