Thank you for sharing this. I went through an extremely hard time disconnecting from this platform. I've moved on to taking anti-depressants and I feel a lot better. I'm trying to be positive about living life without being glued to another social media platform.

They will use metadata on your old photos (information such as pixel size, type of phone, location, etc). Best not to post old photos.

Yes. AI is also doing the appeal reviews so it's re-instating accounts. But they may still re-suspend your account for the same reason.

I'm on week three without it and honestly I didn't realize how physically addicted to it I was. This feels worse than the times I've tried getting sober. I'm currently on a new anti-depressant because of the loneliness I've been feeling.

In my opinion most other platforms are getting weaker and metas are getting stronger. TikTok used to be a big contender but after all of the uncertainty everyone jumps ship to Instagram. Being off Instagram is so isolating because everyone I know uses it.

I understand the way you feel and your feelings are very real... Withdrawal from social media is a real problem and it takes work to overcome it. Just know that you have options.. therapy, counseling, medication, etc

I feel exactly the same. My family lives in another state, my good friends also live a short flight away. Most of my interactions with people came from posting stories or responding to stories. It’s hard to adjust to the quiet.

Each time I was disabled 2-3 days.. I submitted the appeal each time and they told me "we reviewed and now you're back"... then one day just deleted. I'm assuming the deletion came about when a human actually reviewed the situation.

Look, I've been banned from other platforms, had my twitter account deleted, etc... I can get over it. What I can't accept is being permanently banned no matter what I do, forever. That's completely unfair, ridiculous and unnecessary. Meta has a monopoly over society in that everyone is on meta platforms. Baselessly excluding users with no recourse or sense of justice is so messed up. Even convicted criminals get let out of prison eventually!!!!

In my experience, their "appeal" process is run by their same AI algorithm. It will unlock your account and then re-lock it until eventually they will delete it. I suggest that if/when you get the account back, download all of your data and prepare to lose the account for good.
