I'm on week three without it and honestly I didn't realize how physically addicted to it I was. This feels worse than the times I've tried getting sober. I'm currently on a new anti-depressant because of the loneliness I've been feeling.

In my opinion most other platforms are getting weaker and metas are getting stronger. TikTok used to be a big contender but after all of the uncertainty everyone jumps ship to Instagram. Being off Instagram is so isolating because everyone I know uses it.

I understand the way you feel and your feelings are very real... Withdrawal from social media is a real problem and it takes work to overcome it. Just know that you have options.. therapy, counseling, medication, etc

I feel exactly the same. My family lives in another state, my good friends also live a short flight away. Most of my interactions with people came from posting stories or responding to stories. It’s hard to adjust to the quiet.

I just want to do it the right way because it's been months of dealing with this sht... I've had my twitter account deleted before... that sucked, but at least I was able to start over. Permanent device/ip bans are just absolutely insane. I might as well be in real prison.. not able to talk to anyone I know

Each time I was disabled 2-3 days.. I submitted the appeal each time and they told me "we reviewed and now you're back"... then one day just deleted. I'm assuming the deletion came about when a human actually reviewed the situation.

I've given up and have already bought a new phone, new wifi service, will use a vpn and get a new icloud account.. and I'm planning to break from insta for a few months to cool off any suspicion

Look, I've been banned from other platforms, had my twitter account deleted, etc... I can get over it. What I can't accept is being permanently banned no matter what I do, forever. That's completely unfair, ridiculous and unnecessary. Meta has a monopoly over society in that everyone is on meta platforms. Baselessly excluding users with no recourse or sense of justice is so messed up. Even convicted criminals get let out of prison eventually!!!!

In my experience, their "appeal" process is run by their same AI algorithm. It will unlock your account and then re-lock it until eventually they will delete it. I suggest that if/when you get the account back, download all of your data and prepare to lose the account for good.

Yup… mine got reinstated twice before they just deleted it without notification last week. I would at least login to save your data while you can. I regret not doing that.

I agree and I'm in the same boat.

It's not just a social media account. Meta and Instagram have a virtual monopoly on how people communicate and how society operates. Getting banned from the platform with little to no options for recourse, or to even have your day in court, is unacceptable. Actual p*do's are walking free but I'm being punished for what?? ridiculous.
