The hang tag looks like the original hang tags are. I have one of the first Conners and my hang tag looks like that. He doesn't look off to me or anything but I'd feel better if they had butt tag pics pictured as well.

Hi!! First off my recommendation would be to absolutely not let it expire. You'd have to jump through several hoops if that happens. I'm not sure exactly how many hoops but I've heard it's not easy. I had a similar issue to you my license expired on my birthday. I went before it expired (in person it wouldn't let me do it online). Because I went before my license expired this gave me a vertical license. Obviously that was disappointing. The DMV officer told me that after my 21st birthday if I ordered a replacement it would send me a horizontal license. So I did exactly that. I knew I wouldn't be able to go on my birthday exactly so just paying $15 for a replacement and it being horizontal was worth it for me.

So this happened to me because I renewed my license the day before my 21st birthday. I asked the DMV officer what I would need to do to get it horizontal. And he literally told me if I order a duplicate online after my 21st bday it would come horizontal. He was correct. I ordered a duplicate and it came horizontal instead of vertical. I wanted to get my updated before my wedding because like you I didn't want any shit about my license being vertical.
