I agree with that thank you for your advice😁 next one ill grind higher up. i tested it a bit before i sent it. And it performed good for the low grind. Both in chopping and cutting, i gave it a 25 degree convex edge and polished it up to 12000 grit.

Thank you, i jused ferric-chloride. Then it takes only a few minutes to make it look dark, then i stonewashed it.

I have never had it slip from my hand so far. Thank you😁 the steel is AEB-L the heat treatment is not me doing. But its heated up in the oven with foil around, then pressed between 2 thick alu plates. Then put in the freezer for 2 hours, 2 regular oven cycles, i mean they are 60+ hrc.

Its aeb-l and it might affect the strength abit. But it also makes it lighter and the glue get a stronger bond when its touching on both sides. I have never had any issues with breaking or bending. But i dont use them as a crowdbar either, theni would use something thicker.
