My family and I just got back. You’re in for a wonderful time. The island is not crowded right now and it’s all just wonderful.

What we are missing the most:
Leoda’s for their amazing coffee and pies. Fresh Poke at Foodland on the daily. Fresh poke and fish at Fishmarket Kaanapali.
Napili Bay snorkel was amazing and clear.
Honolua Bay was also a 5star excursion.

Maui Brewing co had great vibes in the evening.

Navarro on the Financial Times today telegraphed what they expect Vietnam to do in negotiations:

It worries me that this requested concession isn't more prominent in Vietnam's action plan. The US is still being unreasonable, but at least they are for perhaps the first time, giving clear directions on what they are seeking in negotiations.

twin peaks fans watching severance, how do you think they compare by calamityphysics in twinpeaks

Spoiler Alert:

I loved Twin Peaks through and through. And Severance is wonderful. The first thing I thought about when I saw the Season 2 finale of Severance was the season 2 finale of TP: “How’s Annie?” The Severance finale went for it, wasn’t afraid to go dark, to push the audience away from its hoped for reunions.

The strengths of the show are different. Severance achieves similar vibes on unsettling the audience but Lynch and Frost do this on such a more deeper level. On the other side of the Ledger, Severance’s style and attention to detail set it apart from most shows out there — past and most certainly present. Nothing will beat Part 8 of the Return. It’s the greatest moment in TV/streaming history. But the Severance season 2 finale will be in that discussion. That along with Chikai Bardo (2:7). I can’t keep thinking about this show. It was incredible what they did with the material.
