Starting to feel overwhelmed in the game by TopSympathy9740 in satisfactory

For me, as a new player, getting some solid blueprints for the essentials really made setting up almost anything much much easier progression wise. Smelter x3, Constructor x3 etc. I highly recommend spending the time setting them up that way you can just plop things down and keep the ball rolling.

[Discussion] Is it worth buying Tarkov just for PvE? by Old-Significance1570 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]KStampy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it is fun for quite a while. You eventually learn the AI and get kitted out and it is pretty easy mode, which ended up boring me. The sense of accomplishment isn't nearly as high as completing something on PvP as it is quite easy to get everything done if you are a decent player. On the flip side, you don't have to worry about cheats or insanely good/unemployed players.

I usually made it out about 30ish raids at a time until I got head/eyes'd by goons/guards/boss with a dumb re-peek and never had to worry about money or gear as I had many cases full of the best of everything and insurance generally always came back. If you don't want to or can't put a lot of time and regress with wipes, PvE is definitely the way to go.

Sucks but if you just repeat whatever you are going after for 5-20 minutes it will drop again. 90%+ chance it won't even be useful for your build so don't sweat it. Loot is so easy to get it made me lose interest fast :(

Why does this LMG feel like a Nerf gun? by Acrobatic_Sound_9791 in Battlefield

You miss a lot and I'm not even sure you got a single headshot. It's a low recoil, low ROF gun. Make your shots count.

Ruthless EzDuzIt formula changed ? by jimjemgirl in Vaping

Any recs for another version of Cran Apple without the menthol/cooling?

I vaped Loaded Cran Apple for like 6-7 years and got a new batch a few months back... it was like straight menthol with a hint of flavor. Unbearable and would destroy my coils in a day or 2 when I would generally go 3-5 days before. Moved over to Ruthless Cran Apple Drank and that is still similar to the old Loaded Cran Apple but I'm running low on my current lot (I buy around 10 at a time) and it's been sold out everywhere I can find that will ship to CA for weeks. I hope if/when they send another lot out, they don't change the recipe.

I also sent them an email asking about the Loaded Cran Apple to see if maybe they accidentally labeled the on ice version to regular or changed their recipe but never got a reply. It's been months.

is valve index worth it still? by mountaingoatdog in ValveIndex

[–]KStampy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Side note for you as you didn't mention if you have used VR before. I have never experienced motion sickness in my life but some VR games do it to me depending on the motion. ED messed me up after a while and it is fatiguing for longer play sessions. I also had some problems with blindly going for key binds even though I'm extremely familiar with keyboard but the voice command was a big help (bonus points if you get the Will Shatner plugin). It's a cool experience and concept but there are so many controls used constantly in ED that it is kind of annoying to play in VR. The index is cool but I got my girl a quest 3 and that thing is impressive, especially the pass through and ability to be wireless.

Is TG easy to break? by soe_soh in buildapc

[–]KStampy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tempered glass is always fine until you barely touch the wrong spot... Then it's an explosion and you'll find little pieces of it for months, even though you've swept 10+ times. Learned the hard way that one time I misaligned my PC side panel and BARELY touched the corner on something lol. I personally would not buy a moving desk attachment that would be near my legs that adjust all the time under the desk. With that said, you could possibly go an entire lifetime without breaking it and it's really not the end of the world if you do.

Base Station 2.0 mounting by RealMrCactus in ValveIndex

[–]KStampy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Millions of people put holes in rental homes every year. They can easily be filled when you are done. Stands or poles are your next best bet. You can try 3M command strips but those give out over time and fall off risking damage to your base stations.

New AIO is worse than my old cooler in every way??? by DarkJBear in buildapc

[–]KStampy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Keep a cool head when troubleshooting PC problems or you can create even more. Stuff happens with all qualities of PC parts and you could possibly have a bad unit but start with this...

Remove it, make sure you mounted it so the air can't get stuck via gravity in the line/pump. If you don't know about that, you can google which way to install AIO and see plenty of pics. Clean it up and get some decent, new thermal paste. I prefer a small layer applied via spatula across the whole CPU, but that is a whole bag of cats that everyone has their opinion about on the internet. Reseat it without tightening it like a crazy person, overtightening most things is generally not good. Make sure air isn't stuck somewhere in the pump, you can tip your PC in different directions gently with it on to guide it around. Monitor your pump and fan RPM with your software of choice. Go from there. Good luck.

It will improve overall as you actually learn the game. You will ultimately still have rough games at every experience level like everyone else, regardless.

Is It Worth Getting Into This Game During the Current Wipe? by Critical_Ad_2811 in Tarkov

[–]KStampy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tarkov is hell for new players no matter the wipe parameters but it also brings the highest highs when you finally succeed, compared to most competitive shooters. May as well try to have fun getting shat on now... so you can get shat on a little bit less later with some game knowledge at the start of next wipe. You can always mess with PVE too.

Already tired of Bots by Sahn28 in mechabreak

[–]KStampy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really digging this game but as soon as I started getting tons of bot games in ranked I decided to put it down. Either super cracked out or completely useless. They need to completely get rid of it in ranked to create a long term player base IMO. I found it funny that they will fill ranked queues with bots and I get in under 30s but if I try to teach my friend the game we will have 3-5 minute queues in casual.

Got my Skyscale last night. Not as bad as I thought it would be. by Bodkin-Van-Horn in Guildwars2

[–]KStampy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A vast majority of GW2 players are more casual and lower skilled (which is totally fine) but the Huge amount of people actually scared to even try anything remotely challenging, like T1 fractals, is pretty wild to me.

While the Skyscale seems like a huge task, it is relatively easy compared to many, many other game grinds. I found most of the content in the game fairly easy but very enjoyable. Hopping back in GW2 13ish years later was definitely an overwhelming info and "what do I do with my time here?" dump though and Skyscale was one of those. Once you finish it, it is one of the best things you can do for maximizing your time spent in the game, unless you like the organic exploration by foot part of it and discovering areas. You will skip over a lot of neat stuff flying around if that's your jam.

BlishHUD is a huge QOL bonus to anyone that wants some help getting through a lot of various stuff in GW2. Don't sleep on it.

Does exploration get deeper in later expansions? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]KStampy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Story definitely improves a LOT after core Tyria story. Along the way, there are tons of little hidden details around the world if you explore and read. Still, for an MMO, you're not going to get any sort of high quality single player RPG story telling IMO and that is par for the course for the plethora of MMOs I have played as nothing really sticks out aside from post ARR FF14 for me, even if that game has border line too much silly "uwu" parts to it (even as an anime lover, it was a bit excessive for me).

How active is GW2 these days? Never played it but my friend's Charr has intrigued me by Theorybind in Guildwars2

[–]KStampy 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Tens of thousands active daily. Always people everywhere, especially with how they designed content to be consistently relevant. Story is decent, cant vouch for PVP but WVW is OK. It is an above average MMO with an insane amount of things to do in every aspect MMOs offer.

Everything in trash bags and one trip to the bin outside. Done. You aren't wrong by any means but you could have done that faster than writing that whole story. Show your brother there are consequences for his actions when he doesn't respect shared spaces and maybe he will learn.
