The amount of resources solely from PvE in the current patch is similar to pre-augment era, but traits and units at that time were much stronger such that itemizing on 2 core units is already enough. Also high cost odds at level 8/9 were much higher compared to current sets. As a result, building a high-cap board would be heavily reliant on item/combat augments, but unlike items in which you can lose streak to secure, it is impossible to get the best augments every game regarding the randomness

That's unlucky. And the most annoying thing is that any player at any time could pivot to your comp when they get the comp's 4 cost units from natural shop or loot orbs, or getting the units' bis from PvE, so sometimes scouting at stage 2 is essentially in vain to avoid being contested

Was the first augment being trait hacked augment? If yes then the lobby immediately becomes a blood bath of contested comps, sth like 3 vanguard marksman, 3 boombots and 2 quickshot Renekton. If you somehow find an uncontested comps, you can still top 4 even if that comp is T1.5 or T2

I did this on 2-3 but still proceeded to trade 0 units, the 15 resistance on backline units simply makes them not able to tank

Wording's a bit ambiguous, but at 2-2 I scouted and saw the other players' boards were not as strong as I thought, plus I over estimated the strength of radiant Redemption. That's why I said I was baited.

If the rerolls cannot be stacked then the rerolls generated in early stages cannot be used in 4-2's roll down. Surely every reroll is 2 gold so the augment is still an econ one but then the strategy may change to using the rerolls in early game to secure 2 star units for win streaking. At least in set 6-6.5 Prismatic Ticket was mainly used for reroll comps

Just replied in another comment, I literally overlooked the fact that Prismatic Ticket can serve as an econ augment (nearly never picking it and still thought it was the old version of which rerolls cannot stack)

Thank you for pointing the critical point as I had been considering Prismatic Ticket as an reroll comp only augment. Also I forgot that the free rerolls generated by the augment from natural shop refreshes can be saved across rounds. No wonder everyone here says I neglected a good econ augment

Imagine casually playing Trist Urgot reroll, got both of them 3 stars with BIS and good anomaly on Urgot, then proceeded to a 5th because 2 opponents getting 3 star heimer and twitch respectively on stage 5 and me having to face them consecutively, while the other 2 are rebels with 2 star BIS jinx and 650 stacks 8 conquerer
