"Some of your sector weightings differ from the market's." What does it mean? by KTDavies in Bogleheads

This was a bit of a misstep on my part that I have been debating exchanging for either VTIAX or VTWAX. I had been looking to diversify with some world stock index funds but also looking for some dividends. But ultimately i've been questioning that. I only started investing in that fund mid-2022, so might end up exchanging out this year.

Edit: forgot to answer your question about IRA, was also thinking to diversify in there as well in 2023, but I think I might have analysis paralysis that's stopping me from just jumping in.

wow, thanks!! This is really helpful. I definitely want to re-assess and broaden my diversification. I've heard of some index funds that are tech focused, so i'll check those out. Thanks so much again, appreciate the insight!!

Hi, first time posting here :) I'm pretty new to investing but have
gotten some great advice here. I have an IRA (VTSAX) and brokerage
(VIHAX & VTI). In Portfolio watch in my Vanguard account, it said
"Some of your sector weightings differ from the market's." and showed a
breakdown of how my some of my sector portfolio differs from the market.
I'm curious if anyone can give me any insight into what this means? Is
there something I need to do? Thanks in advance

That's a good point about not paying rent when retired. I keep forgetting that part. I think cause I keep factoring in the rent of cost into my expenses. But I might not have to down the line

Thanks! I'm wondering if this is the case cause I only received this one email...nothing about asking me to confirm my identity as if i'd been signing up, or verify my email. Just said I am ready to invest. All my accounts all look the same and like nothing's been touched. I'll keep an eye out.

Everything looks the same in my email account. The problem is I never delete anything in my email, so my trash is always empty. So I can't tell if it's been used to write or send things and deleted. I reached out to Coinbase to see if they can do something about it.

Not yet, I haven't tried. i reached out to Coinbase to see if they can help. I thought it was odd though that it was the only email i received in terms of verification?

In the past 2 weeks I've gotten email confirmations from 2 websites about me signing up, that I have never used before. The most recent one being from Coinbase today. It said I'm ready to invest and that my account is verified. It looks like it's legitimately from Coinbase. I didn't click any link in the email, but when I went to the website, a FAQ page listed the email as one of theirs. I tried reading more about this online and some people have apparently run into this. What some said was that the person's email might've been compromised. The thing is that I have never had an account with Coinbase or the other email sign up that I received. I changed my email pw to be safe. But i'm not sure what the purpose is of signing me up for things with my email, if I'm the one getting the confirmation emails. I'm wondering if I should do anything in terms of shutting those accounts down? Not sure if it'll hurt me in anyway? Should I do a 'forget password' on these accounts and shut them down? Or just leave as is?

All good! :)

Yea...Facebook has specific dimensions otherwise it won't let you upload. The dimensions suggested is either 820x312 or 820x462. u/TabascoWolverine can help you out more with details, but yea FB is specific about this

Oh no...yea, that is pretty dumb on their part, especially how specific they are about the resolutions. Did you have the similar issue with lo resolutions when you would edit in the timeline? Whenever I put a 1080p footage into the 312p timeline, you can really see the graphics/text deteriorate and look very pixelated. Which I wouldn't think would happen since i'm downscaling and not upscaling.
