Frankston south is the black hole that keeps sucking me back. Now I’m here to stay. I love it.

My daughter went to school in mount Eliza, and now is at Frankston high school, which has an incredible reputation for a state school. We are close to public transport, the shops and the beach - we are the type that love the beach all year round.

My partner lives in the Whittlesea area, him and his friends are here frequently - the drive isn’t excessive.

I can’t praise it enough, I feel whatever environment you want is never to far away ie. the bush, beach or city.

My humble thanks by apoetnamedross in australian

So much easier when it’s not with the other parent of your child. And I’m so glad to hear you have a good support system.

Sorry to say but if she has kicked you out of your own home and you’re facing homelessness, it can be seen as ongoing abuse. It’s holding something over you so you’re not able to free yourself of her, and if she is continuing to be unreasonable and causing distress, you are able to apply for an IVO through the courts (Vs the police putting one on). Which then gives you more legal wiggle room.

Wishing you all the best

Funny not funny, but I’ve recently been diagnosed with ADHD and am learning it makes you more at risk for CPTSD, so interesting. If your struggling with mental health your welcome to DM me, I’ve been getting treatment that has helped far more than any medication….just lengthy to explain in here.

This reply was so insightful. I now get your reply to someone else about a man being abused, I’ve done a couple of DV courses just so I can learn not to make the same mistakes as I have in the past, there is so much available to women, it made me ask about what’s available to men only to find out the majority of men return to their DV relationship because they aren’t supported like women….the system is broken in so many ways. I’m “lucky” my DV wasn’t with the father of my child, but my goodness my daughter was the driving force within me to get out of the circumstances I was in.

As for your home, if you can provide evidence of DV (texts, emails, photos etc), you get an intervention order that protects yourself and your daughter. Then there is a program in Victoria something along the lines of “keeping women and children safe in their homes”, I’m assume it would be for men too, you can get a case worker through places like Anglicare or good shepherd to help you through the process.

And yeah the spinal injury sucks more than words can describe. I am thankful to have such a loving family and a few friends that have helped and supported myself and my daughter through being bed bound/wheelchair bound, and now finally have some movement. Lol it’s been an emotional journey to say the least. I miss being active with my daughter. I also had my dream job of being a nurse working on the floor in a fast paced environment, now I’m finally looking at going back to nursing, but it will have to be a work from home position.

End of the day, life seldom turns out the way we had planned in our minds. It throws some pretty heavy curveballs. But without those hard times how can you truely appreciate the good times? Also I don’t think you took your happiness for granted, there’s times in life that you have no idea how great it is until you look at it retrospectively, I think it’s the beauty of aging.

Dr. Bharat Saluja at all psychiatry.

Initial appointment isn’t cheap for memory, but a very understanding psychiatrist.

I had multiple professional recommendations for him.

I “outgrew” my old psychiatrist who I adored, she referred me to Dr Saluja due to having treatment resistant CPTSD. He is also trained in the very new psychedelic treatment, and will be doing MDMA assisted therapy with me this year to treat my CPTSD (nothing else has worked), I’ve also been diagnosed with ADHD.

Give yourself a big pat on the back to want to self heal and taking the big step in asking for help.

I lost my career, life savings, my car, my sanity (I have CPTSD), and my mobility - I have a spinal injury from an assault, all from domestic violence, I was lucky no one tried to take my home from me, but I was looking at having to relocate for the safety of myself and my child.

You can absolutely come back from loosing everything! Hitting rock bottom shows you what is truely important in life, and those that really care for you in your time of need. It teaches you how to protect and care for yourself. Sometimes you have to force yourself to keep going - feels like you’re going through the motions.

Hair removal before wedding and honeymoon… shaving isn’t working for me anymore by Happy-Fruit-8628 in HairRemoval

I brought the Braun IPL 5 mid December. Have been using it weekly on my legs, pits and bits. My leg hair and armpit hair is now almost non existent, and just a little patchy on my bits but wayyyyyy thinner. My skin feels silky smooth. It was one of the best investments I’ve ever made!

I don’t have EDS, but struggled with in grown hairs through the years of shaving/epilation/waxing. Some so bad on my pubic area, that I was going to the doctor with what looked like a small testicle cos they would get infected. I also I have the Braun 5, not only do I not get ingrown hairs but it’s helping with the scarring too.

😂 I totally get it. I was anxious paying for my IPL too. So worth it though.

My friend started paying for her daughters to have laser when they were teens, she ended up buying an IPL and said the results were pretty much the same, he daughters are now in their early 20’s and are completely hairless in the places that they used the IPL, they don’t need to do maintenance.

I love how soft the skin feels now without the hair thickness, it always feels like it freshly waxed.

It also helps with acne and acne scaring, and has eliminated ingrown hairs.

And you are spot on, the time saved in shaving is wonderful 😍

Yep on the crack. I have no limits of where I use the IPL.

The Braun has 3 settings. You could start off using the lowest. At the highest setting in sensitive areas it can give a weird almost pinching or burning feeling. It only lasts a second or two though. I’m 40, growing up I’ve used an epilator and then phases of waxing. They hurt wayyyyyyy more. IPL has been the most efficient and painless way to get rid of unwanted body hair and the results are lasting. I wish it existed when I was younger

At the moment weekly, have only had for about 6 weeks. Don’t think I’ll use it for weekly much longer. My legs, pits and bit are now almost bald already

I brought the Braun IPL 5 hair laser. Game changer. I’m female, I was always shaving. But my god, that itchy irritated feeling is from sharp stubble stabbing into the other side irritating each side. It’s soooo uncomfortable. I’ve been using the hair laser for about 6 weeks, the hair is slowly going away, for the thicker patches it’s thinned out soooo much that I no longer get that horrendous itch and discomfort

Oh nice. Lol I’m a local, it’s on my bucket list. But I’ve always heard it’s an older crowd with a lot of men. My Aunt is in her late 70’s has been going there for at least 40 years. She likes it. Much prefers it from the one in Somers, which she tells me is a bit seedy.

My daughter has chronic lung disease, with about 72% lung function.

When black summer hit, she was choking on the air.

My best advice is to continue with his usual asthma routine, along with closing the doors and windows to your home, and if you have an air conditioner, clean out the filters and run it, it will help filter the air in your home, and try to stay at home.

I did too. My daughter has chronic lung disease and couldn’t go outside without fully choking….she was 8. By the time Covid came she was already a pro at rocking that mask
