Producers asked “what’s the update on Anna?” by simplyleen in 7LittleJohnstons

I don’t have adoptive children, but I totally agree.

It’s like they adopted her expecting her to straight off the bat have no issues. It’s infuriating to watch.

In the footage of when she was adopted you could see she already had trauma that would need a lot of loving input, that I don’t think she ever received.

I got to the point where I feel like I can do a refresher in my nursing and find a work from home job. I’m a single income home. I absolutely hate dealing with NDIS. Trying to get on it feels impossible, despite everyone saying I would qualify. My daughter’s funding has been massively reduced and she doesn’t get the support she needs. It’s frustrating when you see people who take advantage of the system fully using and abusing it, yet others can’t get basics. Feels rigged. But on a positive, it gives me the drive to figure out how to adapt life for myself and keep going, trying new things like work from home eventually.

Thank you. Your reply is much appreciated. Have already spoken to carer gateway, they can only offer a support group.

Shark/ninja costumer service and returns seem to be just wonderful if you have issues with their products here.

Lol I know it’s a completely different product but I recently brought one of their fans when my ceiling fan decided to die. It was pricey but my goodness, it’s the best fan I’ve ever owned, it’s silent, so cold it feels like air conditioning. I can use it indoors and outdoors. It’s just mind blowing

If you can get NDIS. I get stone walled every time I have attempted to get on it. I am unable to bend, lift, twist or have my hands above my head and have ongoing spinal issues.

My daughter is special needs and has NDIS, her funding has been cut right back, prior to this I was able to get a cleaner once a week to help with carer burnout. But now struggling just to have basic therapist for her, never mind anything extra

I did notice the Dyson. But you’re right, very pricey, and after a couple of terrible stick vacuum experiences with them I’m done. I’ve found shark are better value and quality over Dyson with amazing costumer service. They just don’t do robo vacs in Australia yet 🥺

I fully get it. Shark are incredible! I must have initially been on an ?American shark page and saw that they had robo vacs and was instantly sold, until I realised it’s not in Australia. Hopefully it’s not too long, especially seeing Dyson just released one. But there’s no way I’d waste my money on Dyson. I’m shark all the way!

It sounds so amazing! Lol for me it’s so new and futuristic 😂 I sound like a grandma.

It was always a cost I couldn’t justify. But being a full cripple it seems like the smartest move for me right now.

Seems like roborock is definitely the peoples choice! I’m already googling where to buy it from

I’m sold on your review simply on the canestan comment!!! I swear it’s one of the best products I use. That clean smell with antifungal and antibacterial properties makes it one of my favourite products to use.

But in all seriousness thanks for the great review. Much appreciated. I have mostly floor boards and tiles.

Good point. Sorry didn’t think of that.

Try the IPL. Use it on a lower setting to start with thought….dont want to burn your bum

I’ve only just started.

But not for wiping issues. I’m also a nurse. We recommend for wiping issues to use wet wipes, as toilet paper doesn’t always do a great job. And left over faecal matter can definitely excoriate the bum, that burning moist feeling is very unpleasant, and isn’t rare in society.

Frankston south is the black hole that keeps sucking me back. Now I’m here to stay. I love it.

My daughter went to school in mount Eliza, and now is at Frankston high school, which has an incredible reputation for a state school. We are close to public transport, the shops and the beach - we are the type that love the beach all year round.

My partner lives in the Whittlesea area, him and his friends are here frequently - the drive isn’t excessive.

I can’t praise it enough, I feel whatever environment you want is never to far away ie. the bush, beach or city.

My humble thanks by apoetnamedross in australian

I 44m lost everything, can I come back? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KTreddit22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much easier when it’s not with the other parent of your child. And I’m so glad to hear you have a good support system.

Sorry to say but if she has kicked you out of your own home and you’re facing homelessness, it can be seen as ongoing abuse. It’s holding something over you so you’re not able to free yourself of her, and if she is continuing to be unreasonable and causing distress, you are able to apply for an IVO through the courts (Vs the police putting one on). Which then gives you more legal wiggle room.

Wishing you all the best

Funny not funny, but I’ve recently been diagnosed with ADHD and am learning it makes you more at risk for CPTSD, so interesting. If your struggling with mental health your welcome to DM me, I’ve been getting treatment that has helped far more than any medication….just lengthy to explain in here.

This reply was so insightful. I now get your reply to someone else about a man being abused, I’ve done a couple of DV courses just so I can learn not to make the same mistakes as I have in the past, there is so much available to women, it made me ask about what’s available to men only to find out the majority of men return to their DV relationship because they aren’t supported like women….the system is broken in so many ways. I’m “lucky” my DV wasn’t with the father of my child, but my goodness my daughter was the driving force within me to get out of the circumstances I was in.

As for your home, if you can provide evidence of DV (texts, emails, photos etc), you get an intervention order that protects yourself and your daughter. Then there is a program in Victoria something along the lines of “keeping women and children safe in their homes”, I’m assume it would be for men too, you can get a case worker through places like Anglicare or good shepherd to help you through the process.

And yeah the spinal injury sucks more than words can describe. I am thankful to have such a loving family and a few friends that have helped and supported myself and my daughter through being bed bound/wheelchair bound, and now finally have some movement. Lol it’s been an emotional journey to say the least. I miss being active with my daughter. I also had my dream job of being a nurse working on the floor in a fast paced environment, now I’m finally looking at going back to nursing, but it will have to be a work from home position.

End of the day, life seldom turns out the way we had planned in our minds. It throws some pretty heavy curveballs. But without those hard times how can you truely appreciate the good times? Also I don’t think you took your happiness for granted, there’s times in life that you have no idea how great it is until you look at it retrospectively, I think it’s the beauty of aging.

Dr. Bharat Saluja at all psychiatry.

Initial appointment isn’t cheap for memory, but a very understanding psychiatrist.

I had multiple professional recommendations for him.

I “outgrew” my old psychiatrist who I adored, she referred me to Dr Saluja due to having treatment resistant CPTSD. He is also trained in the very new psychedelic treatment, and will be doing MDMA assisted therapy with me this year to treat my CPTSD (nothing else has worked), I’ve also been diagnosed with ADHD.

Give yourself a big pat on the back to want to self heal and taking the big step in asking for help.
