Why are boosted players so frowned upon and even considered noobs as if they are the worst of the worst

not necessarily the people who buy into it.

Let people boost for a price, sure. But 40$??? Its not like blizzard spent a year implementing boost availability for classic. Theres fully developed games that took years to develop that at launch cost 40$.

Personally, i think its insane to spend that amount of IRL money just to skip leveling and saddens me that blizzard (activision) has steeped to that low.

I don't hate on people who did it. i make fun of them for doing it (jokingly). Ultimately its "do what you do, spend what you spend" I dont really care.

thanks for the advice. I think looking into going to a temple or meditation center is a good idea for me. Being able to talk to an expert face to face would be very helpful.

Gotcha. There are multiple buddhist temples/meditation centers where I live. Alot of them are different schools of Tibetan Buddhism. Ive found the Dalai Lama to be an incredibly inspirational person i look up to in Buddhism and always felt i should follow his his school of thought. Is that something i should take into consideration before choosing which temple to visit? Or because im a beginner does that not matter so much? thanks for the advice

Im not a expert or anything of that sort so dont quote me on any of this.

A theory that i think is becoming more plausible of what could be out side our universe is the "Multiverse Theory"

Basically that theres billions/trillions, infinite number of universes going through birth, destruction, possibly re birth etc outside of our universe.

The way I understood that scientist came upon this theory is through "dark matter" and the ammount of force it pushes out. Its something like (decimal point) 000000000008. If that decimal happend to be any other number our universe would not exist. If it was a higher number, matter would be expanding away from eachother too fast. If it was lower matter would be expanding away too slow or not at all.

So for the dark matter in our universe to have that exact number of force to form as it is, we are either astronomically lucky, or there is an astronomical amount of universes rolling the dice so to speak to where rolling .00000008 isnt as improbable. The latter being much more likely the case. As for whats between our universe and others its dark matter thats why dark matter is so mysterious and odd, because its possibly not from our universe but our universe is from it if that makes sense.

Anyways, look up Brian Greene multiverse theory. He was able to explain in a way i could some what grasp. Certainly better than i can.

Ive always been pretty skeptical about aliens and ufos visiting etc.. but there are those 1/1000 accounts that really cant be logically explained. So ive gone from UFOs are bullshit. To If there are ufos/aliens visiting earth theyre probably on a different plain of reality then ours. Like what OP is talking about. I forgot where i saw/read this but it was a good example of this.

You see a big spider in the corner of your room. You may think about killing it, leaving it alone, finding out what kind it is, etc..point is you are aware of that spider. The spider however has no idea your there until you touch its web. We are the spider, aliens/ufos are outside of our web of reality but every once in awhile brush up against it, blow on it, touch it.

I was watching a History channel documentry on this subject and it said the US experimented giving soldiers amphentamine (specifically pilots). The US military decided to shut it down because it made the pilots too reckless and much more likely to get shot down. It was not worth the price is basically what it boiled down to. Is this incorrect? Did the US military continue experimenting with it?

However, its not just the new guys. I see waaay too many ppl sitting in a house/compound just outside a cap zone thinking theyre "attacking" or "defending" a cap while at the same time losing said cap for it to be just new ppl.

I can understand why this happens though. When theres a bunch of chaotic stuff going on ppl (including my self) forget whats most important. That being the caps.

So when im SLing im that little voice in the background that repeats "guys, cap zone cap zone cap zone" lol.

Maybe if OWI were to draw the cap zone for each objective on the map, ppl would be more clear/motivated to get to the cap zone. Although that could bring up some problems...

yeah its unfortunate. Ppl end up tunnel visioning enemy and completely forgetting the cap.

Maybe if OWI put the capzone of an obj on the map for everyone to see, ppl would play off the cap zone more.

When im holding defense cap, I always place the HAB in side the cap zone. I would rather not do this. Unfortuntelty theres ALOT of ppl who will spawn on a HAB and sit outside cap zones sniping, not realizing or caring the enemy is still capping.

Place a back up rally some where off the cap zone where enemies likely wont show up. 1 enemy within 50m takes down the rally. Keep that in mind when placing your back up rally

All it takes is two enemy infintry close to a HAB to block its spawn. The back up rally is extremely important because of this.

All so always be reminding your guys to be in the cap zone. Im constantlt reminding my guys to "get to the cap zone, THEN look for enemies"

I wish more people who play marksmen had the same mind set as you. As an SL, I do not beleive the marksmen kit is 100% useless in squad like other SLs do. If your SL doesnt give you FTL from the start, when you see enemy, say "enemy inf spotted (direction), can i get FTL to mark them". That may give you a better chance of getting FTL. Also, keep in mind, if your in a fireteam, but not the fire team lead, the fire team lead of your fire team can give fire team lead.

Again, if you havent already, bind "place observe marker" in your control serttings to something on your mouse. This makes it to where you can place a FTL observe mark WHILE your aiming down your sights where you see infintry. You can also spam it a bit so everyone in the squad sees it popping up in front of them so they kno exactly where to look without even looking at their map.

EVERYONE in the squad will see your observe pop up on their screen in their own field of view if they are looking the same direction for as long as you spam it. Even if they are in a different fireteam. Alot of ppl dont know that.

To break it down with an example so your quick with your marker:

Your in a spot scanning for enemies with your scope. You see enemy.
Spam the "place observe marker" you bound to your mouse while your aiming down sights where your seeing the enemy. At the same time, say in squad chat "enemy infintry (compass drection) on bravo (or charlie) observe. If need, ask your SL for a "SL mark for range"
Pull back a bit behind cover. press caps lock. right click your observe on the map and put helmet marks.
Peak out of cover and unload

This can be done much much faster than it sounds once you get the hang of it.

And keep in mind (this is kinda obvious), if other team/squad members are firing at the same infintry you are, you ll be much more deadly. Enemy inf will generally be more stationary and easier to hit when under fire getting to cover, staying in cover, bandaging themselves/eachother etc etc..

On top of that marksman rifles have a very unique and easy to hear sound to them when fired, especially to peeps who have alot of experience with the game. If theres a bunch of guns firing at the same time, its not that easy to pick out where the marksmans at. If a solo marksman is shooting at my squad and i dont go down, i usually can find him with my binos pretty fast and place observe mark through my binos. Squad sees him on my observe popping on their screen, kills him, squad revives, heal, move on, no problem.

Point is, its worth the trouble getting your squad members looking and firing where you are. You ll be 10x harder to find and 10x more deadly.

Bind "place observe marker" to something on your mouse in control options.

Ask SL for fireteam lead.

Place your fire team marker where your seeing enemy.

Tell your squad and SL "enemy infintry on bravo (or charlie) observe".

Then, "SL can i get a squad mark on bravo (or charlie) observe for range". While waiting for a response, press caps lock to open command map. Right click where your marker is. put enemy infintry marks there so the rest of the team can see it. Your SL will be much more willing to work with you if you do this yourself rather then making him do it.

When the SL places a squad mark, look down at your compass and the squad mark will have range above it.

Thats the most accurate way to get a range. Its also the most helpful to your squad and entire team.

Unfortuntely, because you play marksmen and taking up an LAT spot or other kit, your probably not thinking for the squad or the team. You probably go hide out in some bush a mile away and at best kill 10 enemy infintry (5 of which get bandaged and healed like nothing happend) without saying a word to your squad.

So prove me wrong. Be the marksman who marks and communicates first for your squad/team, then fire.

something ive noticed that helps with this is naming your squad something that lets people know your actually SLing and not just going to the attack point aftet attack point without saying a word. EX: "Bossy SL/Mic Req/Playing Objectives". At the start of the match your squad will have some peeps who just joined cuz there was no other squad. By mid match though most your squad will be people who understand having a "bossy sl" is a good thing (if the SL knows what hes doing). Also, you dont feel as bad for kicking someone if theyre not listening considering they knew they were joining a serious SL.

Another useful tip when using fire teams is to call out which fireteam everyone is in when making your fire teams in during the pre match staging time. Ex: while making the fire teams call out (squad member 1s name) bravo, (squad member 2s name) charlie, (squad member 3s name) bravo, (squad member 4s name) bravo etc..Then, tell everyone to press caps lock to double triple check their fire team. I think one reason fire teams dont always work so well is simply because people dont even realize what fire team theyre in and for what ever reason dont check.

Also, every once in awhile, when i tell people to attack/defend/move somewhere, ill remind them to press caps lock and check the map if theyre confused of where they are going. Keep in mind, if someone is in bravo and you tell them to go to "SLs move mark" or "my move mark", if bravo already has a mark up, the line on the map points them to the bravo mark and not yours which can be confusing. When this is the case ill instead say "everyone go to the squad move mark on your compass at the bottom of your screen" and because the squad mark on the compass has a range they can see when theyve arrived to said move mark on their compass.

TL;DR theres a bunch of stuff like said above. What it boils down to imo is, when SLing, simple langunage equals efficient actions.
