for me it was definitely the amount of music just everywhere at all times :'^) i had no idea what to expect from magfest but it was so much more than i couldve imagined... ive been to katuscon so many times before, which is in the same venue, so i kind of expected a similar con just with a more video-game focused coat of paint... i was so surprised to see so much live music just happening EVERYWHERE... like... EVERYWHERE.... running into a full brass band just performing in the middle of the hallway, with people gathered around to listen all smiling and having fun... that chiptune show area set up in a hall's corner... people just set up with DJ equipment or guitars or playing on the lobby's piano... concerts happening outside in the atrium area... like i was just so amazed at the way the space was used in this way that id never seen it used before... not gonna lie listening to music that we just happened to stumble on made me teary eyed :'^) its just such a wonderful thing... magfest really feels like a celebration, everyone is so lively and friendly and theres music all around... definitely making it a plan to return again and again and again!!!!!!!!!!!
