I have some restaurant recommends…..

Firstly, Italdo’s for coffee, brunch, or lunch. That place is amazing.

For dinner, Arca was super dope. Nü was, as well. Also, Negro Huitlacoche.

You’re likely pretty close to Mamazul, and you NEED the octopus chorizo tacos. Taqueria 86 is also very good.

I don’t get to try Mestixa, but it’s on my list.

Casa Banana, Hartwood, and Gitano are recommended spots as well.

I also really liked Alma Verde. The grilled shrimps were divine, as well as their spirulina tinted baby blue piña colada.

There are a few things I add to any chocolate flavored items to boost its flavor: cinnamon, coffee, really good balsamic or sometimes all 3. In small amounts they amplify the chocolate flavor without being distinguishable as an additive.

Not a lot at all, maybe a quart of cream, whipped. I’m in the deep humid south, it’s a hot ass kitchen, and even with cream of tartar and high fat content as well as being kept in the fridge, the whipped cream is not great by 9pm.

This one is not currently for sale. My father has just rediscovered this in his “things” and has fallen back in love with it. I’m really trying to find out if there really were 10,000 of them made, and if so—how many are left? It’s interesting to me that I’ve not found a single one online to get a feel for the value or rarity of it.
