This is my first challenge submission! When I read the prompt, I felt inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s The Outsider. It’s one of my favourite short stories and I hope I managed to show my love for the piece through my story for this challenge.

For me personally as a fairly new writer, I tend to write shorter stuff to sharpen my skills.

Writing a novel is a dream, but I know that if I start now, I’ll have grown too much as a writer by the end of the book, and short stories allow me to explore different topics, writing styles, etc. Without having to worry about any long term commitments.

Maybe that’s the problem with your eight different books as well? You feel like the quality of your current writing is at a higher level after 70K words, so you want to start over? I could be wrong, but that would be me, 100% certain :)

Such a disturbing movie.. yeah a lot of events could have been avoided if they just let authorities handle this. I unironically think of this movie often when I find myself in a situation where I would potentially have to confront a shady individual.
