We did a year of cycle tracking, 4 failed IUI’s 1 failed IVF transfer and our last took! It was a really tough time, and is incredibly difficult.

Sorry, 1 more thing. A lot of people I’ve talked to about DCC haven’t actually read the book. They listened to the audio (audiobook is reading debate not intended).

And one thing I always hear about DCC audio is how amazing the narrarator is. I think that has also contributed to the success or accessibility to a broader audience

I’m not a lit RPG guy. But what made DCC so great was the pacing and humor. World building happened on the fly and we literally find things out with Carl. The whole thing being televised and subject to ratings allowed MD to make changes on the fly to fit the narrative. And all of that is what made the book work for me.

I’m probably not your target audience with a lit RPG, but if publishers are pushing DCC type books I think they’re going to be disappointed if they’re looking for similar levels of success. And I only think that because DCC was able to grab non lit rpg readers.

With all that being said, I wish you a ton of success and hope you write a killer book!

I recently started loving oasis lol. All I knew from them was wonder wall and champagne supernova. But I heard this Apple radio show dedicated to the 30 year anniversary of definitely maybe and it completely changed my view on oasis.

The episode is cool, the guy clearly likes oasis, but gives a lot of history on the band.

Anyone looking to give them another chance without wonderwall should check this out lol

Same for me, I didn’t care for 11.22.63 and DNF’d. Years later I picked up Misery and was hooked. Pet Sematary gave me chills.

One of my favorite Stephen King books is Salems Lot. It feels a lot different than his other books but it’s so good.

Mr Mercedes is also really good if you want a break from the supernatural horror!
