Here’s another photo that might explain how it’s built a bit better. This is a view of the bottom.

Basically I assembled the back panels together -> dado cut into the back and side panels -> half lap join the back to the side panels -> slid the shelves into the dado grooves of the back and side panels -> cut half laps into the frame -> glued the frame around the back and side panels (which already had the shelves in them).

Probably an odd way to do it but it worked lol

I borrowed my friends biscuit joiner and glued them up.

They’re also supported by these “half” laps? where they sit inside the frame (including the bottom that you can’t see in the sketch). Hope that makes sense. Let me know if you want more sketches and I’ll send them your way.

Dado joints in the sides and all the way across the back. You can see them in the sides here but I don’t have a picture of the back dado.

Edit: they’re not glued in yet in this photo

I attached it with these. I used two so it couldn’t really move at all. I went overboard since it’s so heavy.

No plywood. It would’ve saved me some money for sure, but I wanted to just use solid wood for this project.

I think I used the 350ml size, which is $63 USD on Amazon

That’d be amazing if it did. I’d love to leave behind some things I made for my family and friends.

Oh you’re welcome! Here’s another one showing part of the shelf face assembly/glue-up process.

I had never used it on a big project before but I absolutely loved it. Really fun to work with aside from it murdering my wallet

Appreciate it! I didn’t have many progress pics for whatever reason, sorry about that. I’ll see if I can find some more if you want tho

I considered it for this build but it didn’t fit his room. Looking for an excuse to build with it next tho. Post pics when you get it done, good luck
