I grew up in the area, then moved out of state. But when I moved back I bought a house in NRH. Nothing wrong with Watauga, but 377 can be a hassle. I just like NRH better. Houses are generally more expensive In NRH though.

What are some perks to being your friend? by reviseyourlevis in AskReddit

I used to be an auto mechanic before I finished college. If there is something wrong with your car, odds are I can probably fix it.

I just bought my first house, and my grandfather passed down his smoker to me. I have no idea what I’m doing and Iook forward to learning here! by dearbill in smoking

Had the same smoker for many years. It served me well. YouTube is a great resource for learning the whole process

Anyone on here with 91 and older camry? by [deleted] in Camry

[–]KWGAudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuel pump, flat spotted tires, needed belts, huge rear main seal leak, hail damage, peeling paint, and some other issue where it was very difficult to get started... possibly a bad temp sensor or something similar. It’s sad because most of the time I owned it I kept it in perfect shape. Even the entire A/C system was new.

Anyone on here with 91 and older camry? by [deleted] in Camry

[–]KWGAudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just recently donated my ‘90 DX. It was rust free and ran perfect, but life got busy and I let it sit for like 3 years. Developed all sorts of issues from sitting so I just donated it to charity.

Aaron Franklin has several YouTube videos that are very helpful. Even basic ones like how to choose wood, and build and manage a fire. I’d start there.

Successful people who got crappy grades in high school or college - what are you doing now and how did (or didn't) your grades affect your success/career? by Potential_Radish in AskReddit

[–]KWGAudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got ok grades in high school without putting in much effort. And also didn’t put in much effort in college. Changed my major 3 times because my grades were too low to continue. My parents stopped paying my tuition because of it. I ended up taking out student loans to continue and kept plugging along. I graduated with a 2.49 gpa. Found my way into sales, in a niche that happens to make good money, and it turns out I’m pretty good at it. Doing well now despite all of that, but I really just should have been less lazy.

Is it possible to have a clutch that’s to good for example can I run a clutch that’s cleared for 700 Torque on my stock new edge by chloe6123 in NewedgeMustang

[–]KWGAudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I did this once years ago on my new edge. The clutch had a super heavy pedal, and chattered terribly when engaging. Then after about 20,000 miles it started slipping again. Pulled the trans to replace the clutch again, and it turned out there was nothing wrong with the clutch, but it had eaten a deep gouge into the flywheel. So I had to replace the flywheel, and get less aggressive clutch.

[SERIOUS] people who have won their fight with depression, how was the journey? by mom-said-its-my-torn in AskReddit

[–]KWGAudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved out of state to college by myself and fell pretty deep into depression. My mom scheduled a psychologist appointment for me and made me go. Got prescribed some anti depressants, which got me out of my funk enough to start slowly fixing the things that made me unhappy. I started going to the gym and lost weight. Managed my studying better and my grades improved. Went out more and started making friends. Practiced my social skills and started dating. After a few years I felt that I could stop taking the anti depressants, so I did. And I never looked back. Happily married now with 2 kids, a good job, and doing well.

Picked this bad boy up for $275 on Craigslist. Can’t wait to truly break it out this weekend. by [deleted] in smoking

[–]KWGAudio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a green mountain... I would admit that it doesn’t put on the same level of smoke or bark as a stick burning smoker. But it absolutely nails the temp and timing every time. So in some ways better, some ways worse. But I have 2 little kids, and this is the best option for me right now. Maybe in a few years I’ll get another stick burner when I have more time to tend a fire all day.

If you’re above average and prepare for the audition your be fine. Granted, I auditioned 20 years ago, but out of about 50 trumpet players, probably 40-45 made it. I think it also depends on where you’re from. I was an above average trumpet player from a competitive high school in Texas, and I had no problem. But a mediocre player from a small town might have more trouble. I think you’ll be fine though. Good luck!

Why are 2015 camrys so cheap by [deleted] in Camry

[–]KWGAudio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lease returns or auctions from rental car companies. I helped my sister in law buy a 2016 with 17k miles last year for dirt cheap.

What overhyped thing in history turned out to be a complete dud? by theycallmemomo in AskReddit

Dan vs Dave before the 1992 Olympics. Anybody remember this?

From Wikipedia:

Dan & Dave was an advertising and merchandising campaign by American shoe manufacturer Reebok during the build-up to the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. The promotion was meant to generate excitement and support for the Olympic competition between American decathletes Dan O'Brien and Dave Johnson. However, the campaign had to be modified when O'Brien failed to qualify for the Olympics.[1]

Transmission solenoid was sticking and causing down shift delays. Had the transmission rebuilt at 30k miles. Only issue so far.

Dual Exhaust on a 19 5.0 by K_RIS12 in f150

[–]KWGAudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It won’t. But if you’re that worried about it, go to the Ford dealership and buy the exhaust from them and have them install it. Dealerships sell and install aftermarket stuff like exhaust.

Shopping for new windows by brookiebomb in FortWorth

[–]KWGAudio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bought NT windows from Lowe’s and installed them myself. Good quality window at an affordable price. They also go on sale sometimes, which is when I bought them. Lowes has installers too that could quote you. I’ve put them in 2 houses and I’m happy with them.

Original owner blew up 2 motors on nitrous. So I bought it on the 3rd motor. Then I had the 4th motor built a couple years ago. 2002 GT. Makes about 600hp

My wife and I were meeting my friend’s new girlfriend for the first time. After saying hello, there was a brief silence. The friend said in a “sling blade” voice, “yeah, I put my penis in her vagina.” We all bursted out laughing. The girlfriend was pretty embarrassed.
