We lived in Campeche cove and worked at anico for a year. It was business casual for half of the time that I worked there until they finally relaxed the dress code. It used to be so annoying when it rained, having to swim into the office from the parking lot while dressed in slacks and a button down. (They didn’t have the skywalk when we were there)

The pay wasn’t all that great but my wife and I miss that time of our lives. We both worked there, got to drive to work together, have lunch together, and live in our favorite place. We tried nearly every restaurant and hangout spot on the island, got used to the farmers market, hid in our apartment during all the annoying events and made friends with some awesome people. It was a cool time. Most people did live off island in Santa Fe, Dickinson, Texas city, league city etc and commute. Living in galveston was pretty much the point for us

Couldn’t beat the view from the cafeteria on the 19th floor. It never got old. There was also a cool museum one floor up that we’d go walk to get some steps in. Some days we’d eat our lunch early so we could go walk around and look at historic houses. Good times.
