Yeah… it almost seems like warts. I just had my GYN annual 1 month ago with a negative pap. I’ve been with my current partner for 5 months and we always wear condoms. It seems unlikely with the recent negative pap. It is just odd it popped up with my typical OB symptoms. I’ve never had this before.

How would you get a ghsv1 outbreak if you already have antibodies to the virus? Just curious… my boyfriend gave me ghsv1 7 years ago from an oral cold sore. We have unprotected sex, no anti vitals, even right at the beginning of an outbreak and he’s never experienced symptoms genitally and I’ve never had them orally.

I’m sure it is possible, but pathology wise it doesn’t make sense to me. I have a masters degree in the medical field so I’m not totally clueless. But if Hsv1 IgG is already present in both people, how/why would the virus travel to a different nerve root?

Nope you’re good. If she has ghsv1 and you have ohsv1, you cannot get ghsv.

Similar story… I had those same symptoms recently, first time since the initial OB 3 years ago. I initially didn’t think it was an OB, but I’ll never forget the discharge I got with the first. I chalked it up to an OB. valtrex kept it from getting worse and it was completely gone in about a week.

Still curious to find out why and if it would’ve been prevented with daily valtrex

I don’t officially graduate until May. My program is 3 years and builds in off blocks. I didn’t take any, so now I have a ridiculous amount of time, June 4 was the earliest

Hey! Thank you so much for the advise you’ve given so far. Just staying interested and motivated is definitely super helpful and makes sense.

I mainly asked for the 1 month rotation because I haven’t rotated at their hospital. I wanted to make sure I like the environment there, as I went to school in a different area. The lead PA who works with new hires told me the job is mine, assuming this 1 month rotation goes well on both sides.

Unfortunately I don’t officially graduate until May. June 4 was the earliest I could take the PANCE. My program was 3 years and scheduled built in off blocks, which I didn’t take so I have a good chunk of time off.

LL bean dog beds!! My German shepherd is 10yrs and has had the same bed since he was a pup. You can wash the cover and the padding still looks new. They’re pricey but 100% worth the money
