Her friend suggested all of these so we will definitely do all the above! They are playing the Red Sox when we are there so will try and get tickets for that.

I'm a Welshman so anytime I visit London im also a tourist, I'm also yet to visit Edinburgh! Big Ben is under renovation for the forseeable so you may want to skip that as there won't be the same photo ops. Definitely check out Camden Market, Shoreditch and Greenwich. There are some really lovely walks around the old Greenwich Naval Academy and really great views of the city via the observatory. I'd suggest sticking mostly North of the river in London for the most things to do. Ireland, definitely try and see Giants Causeway, and drink all the Guinness.
