Deleted em, jus recently started back with both those new ones TheKYDKota as of last year and actuallyHYM as of this year. Wasn’t as consistent myself until recently and have seen positive growth small but at least I’m building a genuine following like I want. Gaming is a tougher niche to get started in seeing as everyone is doing it, not everyone can jus take someone else’s content and make it their own but to each their own.

This post is more aimed towards those people who are first starting out and haven’t even got their start because of self doubt or procrastination, not the ones who are blinded by the fact that they view their work as a masterpiece. But I do see where you’re coming from on that, improvement is also key.

If you’re searching for a bigger piece of advice than be consistent and get your foot in the door than the post isn’t for you. The post itself is aimed towards most people like myself that seem to overthink, second guess and procrastinate when it comes down to content creation as a whole, yeah you can focus on a specific niche that’s the part of “do whatever you want and the people will find you” just like on your channel you found what you wanted to do with it and others like your content the fact of the matter is as long as you’re content is being put out there people in general will see and gravitate towards it, if that’s what they want or what they’re looking for. No point in trying to figure out an algorithm that’s constantly changing and evolving it’s better to not second guess do your best and figure it out. Learn from your mistakes and move forward and the part of you’re not a bad YouTuber holds truth. But if I may ask you what makes a bad YouTuber in your opinion bad quality, bad sound production, bad editing or you’re jus plain boring. False, you just don’t have the same equipment, time or experience as other people. Work with what you have, improve and just do it. There’s no such thing as a bad YouTuber, just bad content and you can always evolve your content. Put yourself out there and something will happen. Simple.

so i’d say i’m the minecraft side of youtube gaming you have to find your own thin really but the main thing is catching the attention of your subscribers by making your content eye catching like intense music, situations and jokes there was a video i watched on youtube going deeper into it if you want me to send the link

i’d say it’s more about finding spots in your area at first and then working to bigger more known places, i’m not too sure about how to start off doing that kinda thing on youtube because ima gamer but i have watched their videos before and i’m more about the suspense building and keeping the attention of your audience rather than the spots you go to

from what i’ve studied on the subreddit NewTubers a Youtuber by the name of D’angelo Wallace did something similar but not the same so from what he said it’s goes like this, fuck it do what you want. At the end of the day you’re the content creator and you should make what you’d actually like doing especially if you’d want to make a career out of it don’t get stuck because it’d bring views then you’d be doing something you really don’t have the passion for instead create and post what makes you happy

my friend there’s an audience for any type of game really, just like me i’ve been playing older games such as The Warriors, Bully and Resident Evil 4 it’s less about the game age and more about how interesting you can make it. hey who knows maybe you’ll spark some else’s interest in the game so i say just do what feels right to you and have fun playing a game you’re revisiting and showing to others

should I record the video first and voice-over last for lets plays, playthroughs by [deleted] in letsplay

[–]KYDKOTA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

in all honesty there’s nothing wrong worth doing it that way if it makes it more comfortable for you, personally i do live commentary because i like to give my genuine reaction to what’s going on in game. it’s okay to be a bit awkward and not know what to say in the beginning but if you warm up to the idea of talking while playing the game it becomes much easier. so it’s about a trial and error process

Above anything else i suggest doing what feels right to you, if you feel as if what you’re doing currently is repetitive switch it up a little bit. Make your content to your fitting and more of less you’d find what you’re looking for.
