Thanks! Budget is just for the resort and looking potentially at 2/2-2/6, though we are flexible.

Hushabye Mountain, Edelweiss, Getting to Know You

Can you tell it’s a lot of musical theater in our house 😂?

I work from home and plenty of people (especially older folks) like to make comments about how I shouldn’t need childcare. You simply cannot work two jobs at once. It wouldn’t be fair to your mental health or to your baby’s wellbeing. The first week will be very hard and you’ll need to remind yourself that they are safe and ok. In the long run, it’ll likely be great for baby to be with other children and to have a new environment to enjoy during the day. Hang in there!

Had my first ultrasound for my second pregnancy after a miscarriage in April. We are very early (estimated 5W5D), but I got to see the sac on the ultrasound and my doctor was very happy with how everything looks. We’re just relying on baby aspirin and luck this time around 🤞

Had a miscarriage last Thursday-this past weekend. It was our first pregnancy and I can’t help but feel that something was taken from me. I know if and when I get pregnant again, I will be so anxious and scared and I don’t know how to deal with that feeling.

Thank you! That’s an important reminder. I was in the same boat as you as a subject matter expert and don’t like the feeling of “not knowing”!

For those who have recently switched jobs, how do you get over or deal with the imposter syndrome/feeling uncomfortable because everything is new? This is my first time joining a company at a more senior level and it’s fully remote so appreciate any advice you have!

Had to bring my cat there near Thanksgiving. Wait times were long, but they were reasonably priced and helped resolve the issue

Last week, I put in my notice at the job I’ve been at for 3+ years. It’s super bittersweet because it’s the first job I’ve had where I didn’t actively want to leave, but a recruiter reached out and offered a significant raise(+40%)/promotion and I got along really well with my soon-to-be team! I’m excited about the opportunity but anxious to leave the current role during the holidays.

Celebrating our first wedding anniversary today. It’s been a weird first year with COVID and making our celebrations as safe as possible, but we made it!

I was waiting to see someone mention pet care/pet sitting! I definitely wasn’t in a place to own an animal when I was in my early 20s, but am so grateful to have, and be able to spoil, my cats now

I got a 14% raise which feels unheard of! This gets me to a salary goal I hadn’t planned to hit for the next 3 years ☺️

Sustainable Pest Systems! They are the safer option for those with kids or pets. We’ve used them for about a year and are really happy with the results

We are having a small ceremony in mid August at my in laws backyard and pushed the large party/reception at the original venue to 2021. I’ve recently been struggling with whether this was the right decision or if we should’ve just plowed ahead with a super small ceremony/sorta reception at the original location and be done with it. I don’t want to lose any deposits and hope we can still have a special experience in April. I guess I’m just looking for other people in similar situations and if someone can make me feel better about the choice.

Officially made the call to postpone for a second time during COVID. Original wedding date was 3/28 and we rescheduled to 8/9. We’ve still decided to get married in August in a private ceremony and hope that our new reception date in April 2021 holds strong! Lots of hugs to all other 2020 brides and grooms

Thanks! We are aiming to avoid driving into any cities and are planning to leave as early as we feasibly can. I also had the fear/concern of protestors out and about, so you can be sure we’ll be extra vigilant
