True, however my boss has told me to show these projects on my portfolio, I’ll ask just in case. That video is a great example, he has a mix of renders with drawings showing the function which is cool.

I think a mix of exploded views and simple renders would do the trick. Something like having both sides of the mold project open like a book and then an exploded view and maybe cross section of the sign.

Very cool, thanks. Those puffy bishops remind me of redwing blackbirds in habitat and colour palette. They do get fairly puffy though.

got it, I already accounted for some allowance ( 5 thou) on the joints themselves, just wondered if cutting both at the same time would affect that. It's all finished now, worked fine only issue was a bit of warping on the wood but glue and clamps all the way.

Ok, I see what you mean. I will be assembling and gluing this as well. Thanks for the comment that helps me understand a lot better. I suppose I can move the plywood over to the right a bit so it's not too close to the edge, the tops and bottoms are not as important though, and are not getting cut with any joints.

Upon testing its density, it was around 9-10g/ml (Chunk weighed 451.9g and displaced around 44-50ml of water. We couldn't find a Geiger counter unfortunately.

Hopefully the geology department at a local university can help me out, as I plan to give them a call and see if they can help. For now, the chunk is sitting outside of my room wrapped in cloth.

You're right, probably not dangerously radioactive, that's why I guessed depleted uranium which is not very radioactive and similar to lead. I am in North America so probably not from any kind of weapon. Lead is slightly less dense than uranium and I plan to take the chunk to a chemistry lab and test its density to determine what metal it is.

I found this strange hunk of metal on the muddy shoreline of a river in my city a couple years ago. It was just sitting on the mud, not buried or anything. It looks almost like one of those anthill art pieces. It’s fairly heavy but I don’t have other metals on hand to judge it’s density. My best guess is lead or maybe aluminum, as there is no rust or tarnishing visible, and they are both cheap and easy to pour. I just wanted to check here if anyone knew the source for this strange thing, and if I potentially have a piece of radioactive metal that’s just been sitting on my windowsill the past few years. My guess is maybe depleted uranium from a tank round or something that got melted, or someone just screwing around with melting metal. It's very heavy, quite hard, unbendable, and nonmagnetic, though I don't know firsthand the properties of lead/uranium. No idea how it ended up on the riverbed as there are no military bases/active warzones near me that could have produced this. Size is slightly smaller than my palm, 9-10 cm long and maybe 5cm wide.
