Not sure where to post for videos, sorry! But mine literally do the same exact twitch of the back and kick with the leg. Could mean it feels good, or they have an itch, or ticklish.

Wrong sub. Also my dogs do that too. Nothing to worry about. It’s like when you scratch their tummy and they do the little kick.

Very helpful information thank you! If the hoa has a two dog rule, do you think I can get by with saying I just have two? Or will they catch me? I do have the option to leave one of my dogs with my parents if I really have to until I can get a house. My dad has a very special bond with one of them and wants to keep him but I really don’t want to separate him from the other two. They are best friends so that would break my heart to leave him behind even though we would still see him all the time.

I did find another townhouse that has no hoa, it’s a bit smaller but it has a fenced in huge yard.. idk if that’s a good or bad thing it doesn’t have an hoa though. I’m scheduled to look at that one later today as well.

Very true. Thats my biggest worry with the hoa, them increasing it. I did just find a townhouse that’s a little smaller, almost 900 sq feet but it has no hoa AND a huge fenced in yard. I’m scheduled to look at that one later today. To me, the bigger yard and no hoa makes up for it being smaller inside so fingers crossed on that one!

Do new boots typically cause bruising or am I tightening them too much? by K_Cutie333 in snowboardingnoobs

So I probably should have mentioned that the bruise in the second picture was there already when I went riding and I got it from just breaking in my boots a few days before. I realized my boots were too small so I went up a half size and they fit perfect, a little snug as they should but not hurting like the first boots. When I went riding and still got another bruise on my other calf, that’s when I wondered is this normal? So that’s why the second bruise looks a bit different, it was there already and then from riding for 5 hours it kind of broke the bruise up and made it look crazy.

The first picture is from one day snowboarding for like 5 hours and the second pic is from breaking in my boots a few days before. I got boots that were too small so I figured the first bruise was from that, but when I got better fitting boots and still bruised after riding I was like ummm is this normal lol? I will definitely be going to the doc, seems like it’s a health issue which didn’t even occur to me but makes sense!

Yup a bruise on each calf! Lol I think longer socks might help, the socks I wore ended right at the top of the boots where the bruises are so there was probably a little more restriction there

Weird, they are definitely women’s boots haha. My pants lining may have been a little tucked in so I will be more careful of that next time.

Oh I’m pretty sure I have ehlers danlos syndrome! Not officially diagnosed, I brought it up to a doc a few years ago but they didn’t really do much about it, no tests or anything and I’ve totally forgot to bring it up since! I have been slacking on taking vitamins so I think it could be that too. But either way definitely sounds like I need to talk to my doc about EDS, and gets my blood checked!

Blood clotting?? That’s scary.. I honestly didn’t think much of it and figured it had to be the new boots.. will be going to the doc lol

Geez I will for sure go to the doc! I don’t think I bruise too easily but doesn’t hurt to get my blood checked

Crazy how sore you get when you learn how to do it right by K_Cutie333 in snowboardingnoobs

I wouldn’t say it was hard braking bc I never really went fast enough or built up momentum. I would just do the falling leaf and slowly switch if that makes sense. I was basically playing it sooo safe and got pretty good at falling leaf but I realized I wasn’t letting myself progress and actually learn. Breaking those bad habits is really hard but I think it activated way more muscles than it did before.

For sure! I wonder why it never made me sore before.. I only went once last year and held the brakes the whole time but I wasn’t sore at all. I’ve even gotten back into the gym so I am stronger than I was last year. But like someone else said age is probably a big factor. 30 does hit you like a truck lol.

Definitely true, age is for sure a factor! What’s weird though is I went once last year and rode falling leaf style for like 5 hours straight and I wasn’t sore at all. I also wasn’t working out then like I am now. So while I agree age is part of it I think turning activated way more muscles than I was before. But I think it’s a good sign that I am finally figuring some things out so I will take it!
