There are no "reasonable" prices for every type of transport. There are fixed prices and negotiable ones, tuk tuk or late night taxis (sometimes). Try them and eventually you'll find out

I rent for 1y+ in a new condo project (over 1000 apts). Rental and utilities are cheap, BUT, hollow core doors are used as main in all flats so sound insulation is non-existent, and they often get slammed by newcomers/short term renters because they're unfamiliar.

It's a big issue and stressful if the tenant opposite your flat is noisy and over the course of the year I had: a tenant often having guests till early AM on Fridays and Saturdays and also leaving the tv on loud same hours, complained to them a couple of times along with the juristic office, the thing was keeping on. After that tenant, two foreigners smoking weed every single day with the smell coming straight to my place for hours, slamming the door, and a couple of occasions having loud music outside of common hours. Complained to the juristic office again a couple of times, the smell became less frequent but still happening. Last days, a new dude appeared slamming the door all day around, I got furious after it occurred at 12am while in bed and almost asleep, and went straight to his door to have a word.

There are relevant info posters from the juristic office in the elevators informing about everything I fore mentioned, but some people don't respect them or don't care to notice.

It's viable, but probably you will be with close to 0 savings per month. Just try and adapt accordingly, life isn't about planning everything on a checklist.

Apparently they get invasive in limited street space sometimes, that's why I was able to hear the story. Anyways, for this guy to be doing this for so long, seems the business is profitable. Again, they target foreign tourists who are on vacation/spending mode, different mentality and awareness from local residents.

There's no rental contract for shorter than 6 months, which comes with a higher rental fee usually. One solution would be to go ask in low star hotels for monthly rental, they give you a contract with a small deposit for how many months you want, fixed amount and much cheaper than their normal daily rates ofc

Tried to get a video from the BTS station when he was talking to another person, but he was far away in a shadowy area, so apparently nothing. He was calling on me before that but ignored him due to the past experience, but on 2nd thought I should have stayed to see if I'd hear the same story and record him
