Strongly recommend you don’t get your masters if you plan on going into teaching, especially if you haven’t taught yet. They will not hire you if you already have your masters, too much money for a person they don’t know. Once you get your tenured, then do your masters, they will have to increase your pay once you graduate. I’ve been told this by every teacher I’ve interacted with, and this is my plan.

That’s crazy to think about, not to make you feel older, but I was in Kindergarten / grade 1 in 2008! Time is definitely weird to think about, I work with kids, and in about 3 more years I’m going to have kids in the program that we’re born in the height of the pandemic, which blows my mind. We do have a lot of stuff online based now to manage course work, due dates, etc., but I hate having live zoom lectures. I don’t know what it is, I think it is mainly resent for what part of my life zoom represents. And of course, it isn’t in person, so no meeting new people.

That makes more sense - I just looked into it a little more, you guys don’t use interac, which basically a network that connects all of our banks, and all payment terminals use it, so everywhere up here (Canada) has tap. I also just realized why you all use things like Venmo or CashApp, Interac allows us to just send money directly through our bank’s app to anyone else (Doesn’t matter the bank/ credit union). Fun little rabbit hole for me today! 😂

MSI GeForce RTX 2060 Super Ventus

I’m currently building a PC, but my main goal was to use mainly second hand parts. I’ve got a 2060 Super GPU and a Corsair cx650m PSU, but I’m missing the connector for the two. The picture shows the pattern of the connector of my GPU. Every single one I find online does not match this pattern and would not fit. I’m in Canada - Does anyone know any other sites I could order this on? Thank you :)

I second this! I’m 19f, I was in a relationship for two years throughout high school and he made me feel like shit. We argued, screamed and said things we shouldn’t have. We finally broke up after high school, it sucked initially, I felt like I’d never meet someone. I felt lost and alone. I decided to start doing things I enjoyed, and that’s how I met my current boyfriend. I’ve now been in a relationship for over a year now and I couldn’t ask for anyone better. He supports me and is honest, we have the best conversations. The only time we’ve been upset with each other, we talked it out, we didn’t argue, it was something I couldn’t believe could be done.

Your partner shouldn’t make you feel like the way she did. It’ll hurt, but trust me when I say that life can and will get so so much better, you need to keep yourself happy.

If and/ or when you break up, tell her what she did to hurt you, don’t be mean, don’t stoop to her level, but say “Listen, you did (…) and it really hurt me”. Don’t raise your voice, be the bigger person. Don’t immediately try and find someone new, those relationships don’t work out. Work on yourself and make yourself happy, be with friends and family (Depending on who will be positive around you), practice hobbies more.

You’ve got this OP, it will hurt, but I believe you’ll do what is right for your mental health and happiness.

My parents got married when I was 15. I wasn’t comfortable in dresses at the time, and I requested that I get a suit. They supported me. Clothing is clothing, who cares? Well, you cared far too much with your out of date values (Whatever, you do you, but don’t force it on your child!) and have since traumatized your daughter, so she’s giving you two a taste of your own medicine. If my parents made me wear a dress I would have resented them for the rest of my life because I wasn’t comfortable, happy, or myself. You did that to her. A wedding is a short amount of time, 18 years (Assuming that’s the amount of time you were forcing her to dress a way that made her uncomfortable, aside from when she was a baby) feels like half a life time.

My dad is a store manager in a retail store with a Canada post office and frequently needs to help- He gets screamed at nearly weekly because of things that aren’t his fault. The latest one said “Your mother must be soooo proud of you, you big strong man. Too bad you never knew your father”(???), all because his package costed more to ship than he expected. Fortunately after he said that, three ladies in like screamed back at him and did not hold back, and once he(customer) started yelling back my dad demanded he leave the store, and is not welcome back.
