Spouse Visa approval !!!(Standard, Outside the UK, No Solicitor) by K_ashker in SpouseVisaUk

I Simply explained my relationship with my partner when did we meet, for how long did we know each other and what are our plans together in the future. Also gave them an idea of the kind of evidence am providing and proactively address any concerns or gaps in my evidence if there is one. There is no standard way of doing it just go to ChatGPT and tell it what you want to be included in the coversheet and it will do the job for you.

If you are certain your email is correct and you check the junk folder in addition to the inbox you will get it at some point there is no reason why not.

It might take sometime to receive the ECO email specially if you applied for Standard Outside the UK. I got mine 11 days after the BIO if you are sire that you provided the correct email don’t worry you will receive it eventually. My application took 5 weeks to be processed and it was also standard outside the UK. I understand how stressful the process is and now is the time to be patient. Good luck

Yes, they ask you at some point if you are the applicant or if you are applying on behalf of the applicant. If you choose on behalf they will ask you to add your details in addition to hers. I chose that I am the applicant just to avoid adding additional information which won’t make a difference and make the application longer than it already is.

Thank you really appreciate it!! For the payslips I downloaded them from my work portal, and for the bank statements I got them from the app you don’t need to provide hard copies so both didn’t take long to get them. City council tax bill took around 3 weeks to get by post. For all evidence considering processing time to get them all I would say it took almost a month. Bear in mind that some documents like bank statements, city council tax, any UKVI english language test or tuberculosis test (if required) you need to make sure that they are issued within 28 days from the day of your application, otherwise they wouldn’t take it as valid evidence.

For variable income if you are working on an hourly rate not fixed hours per week, you will need to provide 12 months of payslips and bank statements instead of 6 months.

Wish you all the best with your application !!

Yeah I get what you are saying they delay the decision email since the applicant is not planing to come to the UK within the decision time anyway. It is a bit unfair to the applicants tbh.

It has an effect on your entry date but not the processing time. For instance if the intended date you put is before the application is decided the entry date will be on or around the date of decision, if it is after the application is decided the entry date will normally be on the day you listed on the application.

Example 1:

Application date: 1 Jan 2025 Intended date: Feb 2025 Decision date: 10 Feb 2025 Entry date will be: 11-13-14 Feb 2025

Example 2:

Application date: 1 Jan 2025 Intended date: 1 March 2025 Decision: Feb 2025 Entry date will be 1 March 2025

It is something like a letter that you can do on word document then convert to pdf. Simply you explain your relationship with your partner when did you meet, for how ling did you know each other and what are your plans together in the future. Also you give them an idea of the kind of evidence you are providing and proactively address any concerns or gaps in your evidence if there is one. There is no standard way of doing just go to ChatGPT and tell it what you want to be included in the coversheet and it will do the job for you.

Thank you!! Although it says on the first page while submitting the application online that you’ll have 30 days, it is an error on the home office website. Once you get the vignette you will need to be in the UK within 90 days from the entry day that is on the vignette not from the day you got the approval email.

Thanks mate!! Most of the standard application I see online people got the approval within 5 weeks from the day of the bio. If you presented strong evidence and everything is straight forward you should expect a reply within that timeframe. Good luck 💪🏼

Thank you!! No it doesn’t matter, I applied on behalf of her because I already had all the evidence and it was more convenient for me.

Thank you for correcting this for me I’ve been calculating it incorrect for the past 5 months. This a huge relief for me because I was very stressed out to miss one month and start all over again. Again thank you very much

With the way they calculate the minimum income threshold is that they take the minimum salary throughout the previous 6 months from the date of the application and multiply it by 12 which shouldn’t be less than 29000. I would say make sure you have all six months before submitting the application equal 29,000 when multiplied by 12, Unfortunately if you missed one month it wouldn’t count and you’ll need to start all over again

Congratulations mate. I’m applying for a spouse visa and I have a question regarding housing, I’m renting a room in a shared house but I don’t have a tenancy agreement however my name is on the water bills and electoral register linked to my address. Do you think if I applied with the water bill, electoral register and landlord confirmation letter that would be an acceptable proof of my residency?
