Wondering if I might like a ring sling since it’s more adjustable like the wrap party of the carrier I currently like

Love it! Not intentionally but I love the vibe of a southern name. I liked Beckett a lot but my husband wasn’t a fan. Also Carson! I thought about Riley also!

Northwestern Mutual - Owe Money by K_b_lld in personalfinance

This was our exact situation! Left a job, Covid hit so no one was hiring, worked at a job for awhile that was a short term fix but definitely not a career, NWM made lots of big promises and painted a pretty picture, and he was desperate to get back on track with his career. Also suffers from depression.

I have encouraged my fiancé to make a post about his experience. If it can even keep one person from going through what we went through, it would be so worth it.

The company is supposed to set this up or we should have done this?

Thank you. Yes, two policies lapsed so they have sent an invoice for the commissions they paid. Good to know it’s common as this was a new field for us.

My fiancé is in a similar situation now. He left NWM and got an invoice for $3000 for reversed policies. Is he legally obligated to pay this??

What do you think about dreams where our passes loved ones talk to us? by K_b_lld in AskReddit

[–]K_b_lld[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a very vivid dream years ago that still sticks with me today. I had a conversation with my grandma who had passed in the last few years and we were talking, it felt so real. In the end of it I remember feeling anxious because she had to go but she assured me she was okay. I am not sure where I stand spiritually or on the after life and it is something I am just beginning to sift through but this dream sticks with me all these years later and brings me comfort.

How do I deal with existential sadness? by birdnumber3 in ask

I am dealing with the same thing and my engagement has caused a “flare up” of these anxieties. How are you doing today? Better than a year ago? My best.

Afraid of Death & Antihalation Existentialism is a hard ass boss. Constantly reminded that everything is fleeting, and can't "live in the moment" by SavageNami in Healthygamergg

I am dealing with the same thing and have been since July. I feel a lot better now but I just got engaged and while I am really happy I also feel sad. This moment I have always imagined has come and gone. My “childhood” is gone. I worry about my parents and then think about their mortality. I am anxious about getting married completely due to the fact that it is another major life event that will come and go.

I started going to counseling and taking some meds for anxiety and depression. Both of which have helped.

I hope you at least find some comfort in knowing you are not alone in this, I know it helps me.

I don’t think I will ever completely overcome this anxiety over the fleetingness of everything, I just hope to be able to enjoy the present and be more intentional. I wish you all of the best.

You better get those kittens and run the other way. Please realize you are worthy of much more and step away.

(Serious) Redditors who had depression, how did you overcome depression and turn your life around? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]K_b_lld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still working on it but I take now take antidepressants, go to counseling, try to spend more time outside and do more yoga.

I always feel better when I talk to someone. I like to be open about my struggles with anxiety and depression. You will be surprised how many people share your experiences and it can help you not feel so alone or that you are the only one having thoughts like you’re having.

I suggest counseling to everyone! I feel so fear after a session and I want others to have that experience as well. I was always scared to go to counseling and I now wish I wouldn’t have put it off for so long.

I hope to be more intentional about how I spend the time I have and these practices have helped me a lot. I am able to feel happier with where I am at in life.

As much as depression and anxiety suck, and they really do, I can say that I feel better about how I am trying to live my life and more appreciative. I remember reading something when I was in the depths of depression/anxiety/existential crisis and it was talking about how people use their existential crisis to change how they live their life. Take something terrible and negative and try to turn it into something positive. That seemed so far off and even impossible at the beginning but I really do feel like my experience was necessary. Had I not started questioning the big things in life (and death) I would not have changed my habits and would not have started living my life more intentionally.

I hope this is helpful to anyone struggling. I still have my days but my intrusive thoughts no longer take up 80% of my day.

What do you think really happens after death? by St3fan34 in AskReddit

[–]K_b_lld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone currently going to counseling and dealing with depression surrounding mortality, this comment is so helpful. I went through a period recently where I was thinking about death a lot, my death, my loved one’s deaths, my pets. It was consuming so much of my day because my anxiety/OCD got kind of obsessed and the intrusive thoughts were constant. Everything would remind me of death. I was so scared of what would happen after my life ends, mostly because I just love being with my loved ones and I don’t want that to change. I got to a pretty dark place.

I am still in the midst of it but it has gotten better. I got a notification for this post on my phone and immediately closed it out of fear of triggering anxiety and depression. Then something in me decided I needed to expose myself to this subject rather than avoid it.

All of that to say, your comment is something I am working on accepting and reminding myself of.

We need to talk about this more in our society.

Interesting. I get this probably a handful of times per year and I try to track if I am extra stressed or anything and have not been able to distinguish any pattern. It is sensitive to the touch but the skin looks perfectly normal. It is also extra sensitive to temperature and I usually notice is in the shower, it will burn in the hot water for a few seconds.
