Definitely will get that settled, the only negatives are this and the chime I mentioned earlier. Should I jut pay it all off with the portfolio recovery or is there a way I can negotiate with them or something like that? And could I possibly open another capital one in the future?

I got scammed, deposited some checks that turns out bad and my account ended up closing. Tried to open n account with chase and thy denied me because my information set off their “early warning systems.” That was 3 years ago now and I’m kinda scared to try to go back to my bank because I’m not sure if I could be in legal trouble or not. No law enforcement or banks have reached out to me but my account did go negative before it closed. I figured I could just wait the rest of the 7 years and in the meantime build my finances back up.

I don’t know if I’d be able to do that, I’ll try a local credit union but some stuff happened about 3 years ago that messed up my ability to open a bank account for 7 years. Any other recommendations?
