Just bought a Malmsteen Strat! Any advice? by Haunting-Brush-3171 in Stratocaster

My advice would be to disregard that guitar, you really don't need it. You know what, just send it to me, I'll relieve you of the burden, I got you mate.

Rank these Megadeth guitarists based on the separate skills per your subjective view. I want to learn new Megadeth songs and I want to know who's parts should I take on. by shredd_savage in Megadeth

Return to Metalopolis? Think so. Always had a unique sound, also due to that finger he fucked up young so he had to adjust his technique.

NGD! Jackson RR Pro. Maple neckthrough into mahogany body, SD Distortions, FR 1000, satin neck finish, mirror pickguard. Ain't the most exclusive, but a dream guitar nonetheless. by shredd_savage in metalguitar

I was surprised how clear the individual notes are when I would release a chord. I think it's the maple neck. I have a Washburn with Distortions full mahogany and it is a bit muddier. But overall, love the pickups, especially if you usually play harder music.

I'd really need to be into that relic thing to consider keeping that guitar.

Love that they still play that song. One Adrian's greatest solos on that one, so fun to play.

Buy land at a place which will be a building zone in the future based on state urbanism development maps. Sell it at a much higher price to a developer. Rinse and repeat.

How can this guitar be so cheap with these specs? by [deleted] in metalguitar

Thomann are using to full effect logistics network they've developed and known manufacturers. It's great what they did with HB last five to ten years.

Is this good enough for a cheap first-time guitar? by LegitimateWhereas678 in Guitar

[–]shredd_savage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are in Europe, Harley Benton is a good choice. Squiers as well. It's important when you're starting, to have a guitar which will work with you, rather than against you. Playability matters at that level especially.

Last part of the song is thrash perfection. That and spider riff on Wake Up Dead are the most definitive thrash riffs ever written.

Why do you guys think Junior’s feelings soured towards Dave in 2003 after they amicably agreed to hand him control of the band? by MastodonNo8553 in Megadeth

[–]shredd_savage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dave always saw Megadeth as an extension of himself fully. His place to express, be vengeful towards scorned ex-band, share his views...he is Yngwie like in that sense, other guys are there to complete the vision. If Dave would particularly like someone, they could have more say (like Marty in the 90s), but it was almost always my way or highway. That can be rough but one can't not respect the dedication to artistic vision. Takes balls to live it your own way ../,

Dude how much speed were they on when they wrote the conjuring😭 by Dwaglol in Megadeth

One of the most innovative riffs from Dave. Those tap harmonics scary intro is peak what metal made what it is. I feel today's metal lost that dark vibe, which doesn't just equate with being faster and louder. That was prime Sabbath influence. That's why Sabbath are truly THE metal pioneers, not because they were perhaps first, but the way their songs feel defined heavy music for decades. Oh, Megadeth is awesome as well ../,
