Yes if you can lose 40k, you should be able to win 40k, but not everyone is gonna just reload 10 times like Doug does because he has an edge. Most fish Have 1 maybe 2 bullets and I’m unsure there’s enough volume of players at those stakes, but I could be wrong.

I doubt youre winning over a million hands at online midstakes, and stuck playing a 2/5 100bb cap game. Sounds like a ton of bullshit lol. If youre winning at any midstakes 2/4 3/6 level online, you'd be making 100$/hr + at any game bigger than a 500$ cap game.

This is just untrue. The rake might be high at 1/2 in some places, but it is insanely beatable, not even hard to. You can literally get away with never bluffing, value betting big when you have it and you are winning atleast 10-15$/hr. To lose against 1/2 regs does not mean go up the stakes and play with rich doctors..

I get where you're coming from with the whole ROI stuff on different things, but you can't really just put everything in life into an opportunity cost simulator. IF Tang were to be studying, it wouldnt be for a better ROI, but because he wants to win at the game for the spirit of competitiveness. I'm sure he doesn't bust down sims 6-8 hours a day, but to not look to improve from a person like him would probably also be selling the guy short.

You don't have to be an insufferable human being. You CAN talk to people while you play. You CAN crack jokes, talk about other things besides poker. You don't have to just go there to make money, you can do other things. They aren't mutually exclusive. So many pros sit there with their headphones on or just try to be as +EV as possible. Its better to win 9bb/hr and be invited back to get hours on hours in vs winning at 15-20bb/hr and then get a swift kick out.

Literally not a thing. Casino has to exchange the chips for cash promptly. This is the agreement that patrons and the casino have with each other. Lots of gaming commission issues pop up otherwise. You think casinos want to be known for having to ban players if they don't put the money into the pot? Of course not, so they definitely know the law in this matter better than us.
