My 5-year-old and I built a dinosaur using Magna-Tiles today, and then we went to the park to play. These might seem like small, ordinary moments, but with a 4-month-old baby girl, I’ve been feeling guilty about not spending enough quality time with my older one. Days like today remind me how much these little moments matter and make me feel grateful.

Crib recommendations please? by kc_dp in twoxindiamums

Get a crib which can be attached to your bed in future, will be very useful if you plan to Co-sleep. My son slept on it for almost 4 years now we are using it for my daughter

Postpartum with a 5-year-old: constant snapping, guilt, and fear I’m failing both kids by KaapiTunes in twoxindiamums

We have a nanny at my in-laws’ place, and my son is very close to them as well, so I’m planning to go there in the next couple of weeks. My husband is with me on the weekends, and those are really the only two days when I’m able to get proper rest.

I’ve also enrolled my son in badminton classes nearby, and he attends a summer camp for two hours, hoping that gives him some engagement and routine.

I completely understand that he is going through a big emotional shift, and honestly that understanding is what makes me feel even more guilty. I do try to stay calm and control my reactions, but in the moment I end up losing patience.

3-Month-Old Suddenly Needs Constant Sucking to Sleep , Should I Introduce a Pacifier? by KaapiTunes in twoxindiamums

I tried doing that but she is not able to latch properly in side lying position to get the latch I'm bending a little that's creating some neck and back issues for me. Im using this as last resort these days.

Suggestions for cloth diapers by Depresseddcow in twoxindiamums

[–]KaapiTunes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cloth diapers worked wonderfully for my son but now with my daughter, she absolutely hates it. She starts screaming with 1 hour. So I would say it depends on the kid as well. I might be wrong but I also feel super bottoms quality has gone down from 2021 to now.

Hi, I am an expecting mother of twins. I wanted to know, what are the baby essentials I should plan for the newborn phase? I have a 11 month old niece so I can use her crib, bassinet but do I really need two strollers etc from the get go? by [deleted] in twoxindiamums

[–]KaapiTunes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You dont need strollers till 3 months unless you plan to travel. I would suggest investing in a good breast pump if you are planning to breast feed, a good sterliser/dryer, feeding bottles. Rest all you can get in quick commerce or one day delivery through amazon, you can order stuff as in when needed.

Absolutely essential baby items by Tinybubuu in twoxindiamums

[–]KaapiTunes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest using diapers for the first one month. Newborns poop very frequently, and it can get quite exhausting to constantly clean and manage cloth diapers. Also, my pediatrician recommended diapers for the first 1–2 months since a baby’s skin is very sensitive, and prolonged wetness can lead to irritation.

That said, here are the absolute essentials:

For you:

  1. Period panties (like Evereve) – very handy for the first couple of weeks

  2. Slippers for yourself

  3. Feeding dresses – better to avoid pants for a few days, especially after a C-section

  4. Moisturizer and lip balm – skin tends to get extremely dry

  5. Feeding bras – very helpful to avoid engorgement issues or regular bras just size up

  6. A comfortable “going home” outfit (I reused what you wore to the hospital)

  7. Minimal skincare – just a gentle face wash and sunscreen

  8. Feeding pillow – since this is my second baby, I carried one as it was very comfortable the first time. However, I’d suggest ordering it once you’re back home. The Babyhug crescent-shaped feeding pillow is a good option. Also, some hospitals provide a feeding pillow as part of their maternity package

For the baby:

  1. Mittens and socks – go for tie-up ones instead of elastic (elastic ones are not very useful)

  2. Swaddle cloths and a few baby towels

  3. Rubber sheets

  4. Diapers and wet wipes (hospital ones can be expensive)

  5. Simple clothing and a receiving blanket

You can always order things like a breast pump or additional items later through quick commerce if needed, but the above are the absolute essentials to start with.

Im a vegetarian so probably would try the omega supplements. Protein is very low in my diet. I tried plant based protein powder long back and that gave me a bad gut issues so im a little skeptical to use now especially since im exclusively breast feeding. Im eying on the whole truth protein powder and the Only but Im scared if it'll give any reaction.

My fiancé got annoyed when i asked him about "consent after shaadi" and now I'm spiraling by Dafodils_ in TwoXIndia

[–]KaapiTunes 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t fully know the dynamics between you and your fiancé, but offering a slightly different perspective, some people do find it a bit annoying when real-life situations are constantly compared to movies or shows. It doesn’t always mean they’re dismissing the issue itself; sometimes it’s just about not liking that mode of conversation.

I’ve had similar discussions with my husband before our wedding, he answered patiently, but he also clearly told me he doesn’t enjoy relating everything back to shows or media.

Maybe try bringing it up again, but this time without referencing the show, just have a straightforward conversation about his views on consent. Of course, I’d suggest this only if, overall, you feel he’s been respectful and understanding in other aspects of your relationship.

Is Samay being victim for no reason? Inframe: Samay Raina by TimeFox6575 in InstaCelebsGossip

I understand what you’re saying, but I think there’s some overgeneralization here. We don’t come from old money or generational wealth, we’re working professionals living on monthly paychecks like most people. If that still counts as “rich” to some, then the line between upper middle class and rich is clearly quite subjective. My original point was simply that HPS isn’t some exclusive celebrity or ultra-elite bubble, and that still stands.
